It seems too obvious to mention but allowing people to buy admin privileges would promote exactly the type of lovely super-serious people who you'd want to avoid, not to mention an auto-abandon function would be immensely obnoxious for the rest of your team.

There's a nonzero chance that getting self-selecting DOTA hardcore kiddies to isolate themselves from the rest of humanity *might* make the game enjoyable. Might.

There's also this, which is... a game... after seeing so many people put "none" under Risks and Challenges, it's almost refreshing to see a Risks and Challenges section that is over half the pitch's length.

Lore still have one of the best Risk & Challenges section. quote:We are making an action RPG game name Lore. This is a game that consists of a few elements from other great games. Our first goal is to get a full team because it is only I and one other person at the moment and we lack numbers to give our project full life. I am currently finding other great artist so that I can complete my team. Our second goal is to start a website to give a visual and details about our creation. This website will also allow us to build a relationship with our supporters and help us start a community for Lore where they can gain full access to in game videos, game music, concept art, updates, game demos and much more. The next goal is to start working on the game itself the story line has already been worked out as well as the setting of the world.

I've met people with downs who could make a better kickstarter than this guy.

I love how even in GBS 1.0 "yeah this person is disabled but they're an rear end in a top hat and they're not a literal drooling vegetable so they're totally just saying that for attention/sympathy and me harassing them and being a creepy weirdo is totally cool" was a legitimate line of thought for Goons.

The Reading Rainbow Kickstarter is over $3.5 million and still has almost 3 weeks to go. Levar has also managed to get a whole bunch of Star Trek actors to sign up for Reading Rainbow live events including William Shatner and Patrick Stewart. Imagine either of those guys reading kids books, they'd both be amazing for totally different reasons.

Basically everyone and their dog knew the earth was round centuries before Columbus was even born. His great achievement was thinking the way to China was a lot shorter than it actually is.
