His first ball of the day, a loosener, showed up as 96mph. There was another time when Brett Lee was bowling in a warm up game and his entire spell never went below 90mph. Either it was the quickest sustained spell of fast bowling I've ever seen, in a warm up game against a county side no less, or they just made the fucker up.

TMS have been waxing lyrical all afternoon about Laxman, but I remember him as being decidedly average. His 1st class figures look good, but I assume there is a huge element of sub-continent inflation involved. Am I misremembering and was he decent?
