I just dislike people who feel entitled to having other people do things for them without pay because the payment is getting to do that thing for said person. Just because you're famous doesn't mean you just get to not pay people who deserve money.

Amanda Palmer was interviewed on fresh air the other day and I was listening with my parents and about halfway though my Dad commented "This woman is ad fascinating as she is insufferable." I thought that pretty much summed it up.

Meanwhile in Kickstarter Bandwagon land ...  There's currently 125 listed KS projects that mention potato salad in the title or the short blurb including a project to make a documentary about the potato salad project, a project about making a documentary about trying to get Bill Murray to crash the potato salad party, and a project to make "I hate the potato salad guy" t-shirts. Of those 125 projects only 19 have raised more than $100 and only 5 have raised more than $1000 (not counting the potato salad project itself) and those 5 aren't food projects, they're just random KS projects that happen to mention the potato salad guy in passing.
