Cats own, but they have downsides. Hair everywhere, puke in interesting places, and of course, if the cat likes you, it will show you its butthole at every opportunity.

 To be fair, the trick is getting the right cat, and quite a few cats do suck and so people get the wrong idea. Cats are kind of like quarterbacks that way.
