Can Marvel writers think up of no other name for Tony's relatives than "Arno"? Disappointed it isn't Arno, and think it's amazingly stupid that we're once again pitting Stark (who is now techie scum?) against another hero (I guess since Cap is billed in several titles at once at any time Daredevil was a close second?). I wasn't happy when his color scheme changed from red/gold/blue lights to black/gold/red lights, and now he looks like, I don't know... GLADoS in that picture? Man, now I can't unsee it  Anyways I hated pretty much every single part of that press release.

I just don't get why they are replacing Cap and Thor when it will all just go away in a year for Avengers 2 anyway. But if the stories are good and entertaining I will still be in.

As far as I know his JiM run is almost universally beloved, and his X-Men run, while sort of brief, had a lot of fun bits, was pretty well-regarded, and sort of did a lot of important gap-filling and character work in the midst of AvX. Also his Young Avengers has a great big following, I don't think he needs to worry about his legacy at Marvel.

Valkyrie wouldn't be Thor though, she'd just be Valkyrie with a hammer which is not the marketing or advertising Marvel do. If it was as simple as that then more than like 5 people would have bought the Sif ongoing when they tried to make it happen.

It's just a bother when there is a point where a character is replaced, and there's certain criteria needed for the replacement that can be met with existing characters, and it's like "no, make a new one". This is especially difficult if you're an X-Men fan, and there's a toychest full of cool characters going unused mostly because new ones need to be manufactured only to be overtaken by newer characters and so on.
