I had a great feeling from the start, and Aisha Tyler shucking and jiving to Song of the South confirmed it. God drat they just keep dropping nukes tonight. EDIT: There has got to be an extended version of this episode.

... Okay, after that episode, I feel like I should humbly apologize for my trepidation with that line-up. It was absolutely magical, and Pereira turned out to be a lot less insufferable than I remembered him being. Not to mention that Aisha Tyler just stole the loving night there.

I think he's in that weird comedy culture Pryor/Carlin/Rock/Chappelle period right now where everything he says is loving funny. It doesn't last forever, but right now he's on fire. Plus, it'll be hilarious to see him have to destroy his wife in the game.

I know we're only 4 minutes in but we're going to need an uncut version of this episode, if only for all the Paul & Storm "That's my ____ cover band" jokes they inevitably cut out.

I'm a little annoyed at Hardwick in this episode. I know Phirman is his bff, and I usually like Phirman a lot, but I think Hardwick was a little, ahem, liberal with his point-awarding to Mike. Also it's a loving travesty that Paul is the one who lost.

How far ahead of time do they tape the show? The scoreboards always make editing eminently obvious

tbh this was the first ep of this show that I didn't enjoy at least a little. I'm guessing not being a fan of Star Wars put me at a significant handicap since like every loving joke relied on being a part of that fandom. But yeah even the audience didn't seem that into it so I'm probably not alone.

The scoreboards always make editing eminently obvious I went to the site to get tickets and it looks like they tape at 3:15 PDT. I know they also do a double header on Wednesday, they do not tape on Thursdays. As far as the editing, I'm ok with this. I've seen shows with very little editing that kept bombed jokes in; Tough Crowd w/ Colin Quinn comes to mind.
