If the B'ger guns get bugged (and they often do), their lances can and will one shot you regardless of where you are positioned in relation to them. This includes back at the spawn. Which is why its best to go all in guns blazing, survivability be damned.

Though it likely doesn't apply, logic would dictate that they'd want people to use their new lovely system besides the original few that used the old crafting system. By that assumption, you'd think they would want to modify the system as a whole so that people would actually use it, instead of making it a hilarious failed money pit for a vast minority of the playerbase who would otherwise continue to play space barbie dressup and buy things from the zen store instead.Mondian posted:I was under the impression that the STF drops were all particle/gas poo poo only. So I started up another alt and as I approached 15 I figured I'd try just actually crafting things they would use and see if that was any help. So I looted all the mats I could in the missions from the tutorial on, and when I hit level 15 I went to craft an item appropriate to that rank (mk IV body armor) that was white quality only to discover I was missing the materials needed to make components. So I check the exchange and everything is either in stacks of 999 and costing millions or single items going for like 10-50k EC a pop. I'm sure that's partly just the market being hosed at launch but crafting is 100% useless for anyone starting out now. Not to mention you'll hit 50 in a week and still only be level four or five in a single crafting school that still can't craft any good mk XII gear that is going to be thrown at you for free from drops and rep rewards.

The other half of that problem is the exchange interface is loving terrible. There's no way to say "sell these 500 contraband at 50k ec each", it's"sell this stack of contra for X ec", repeat 17,000 times. The Exchange REALLY needs some attention, but I'm sure the back end is so fuckered up that it won't happen until something breaks hard, and we're without an Exchange for two or more months.

If the people responsible for the new doff interface were to look at the exchange, it would be unusable for a hell of a lot longer than a month or two.

So if they removed all the dil stores does that mean you are no longer able to pick up purple quality crazy Romulan full auto guns? If so that's really weird as they went out of their way to include them in one of the tool tips for the new xindi kit modules only to make it so you can only purchase common mkIX versions.

The one he's thinking of is the Plasma Piercing Beam Rifle, and that was never craftable(Old or new), nor has it ever been in the Rep stores. The only purple grade version of it, like the other weird-rear end Romulan weapons like the Charged Burst Assault, were in the old Dil store. They've been removed without recompense. The easiest way to show the weapons I mean is to go to the Romulan Flotilla and look at the common ground weapons None of the normal weapons are there, only the 'weird-rear end ones' that he and I are on about.
