Eh, I'm stashing up components so I can run as many beams as possible during the time to get more xp, but yeah, it's not really gonna amount to dick.

I want to play a Star Trek game. This game stopped being a Star Trek MMO. I'm not that vested in Cryptic's corporate future. I really only like Star Trek. So it's not that I want the game to shut down. I just want the game I paid for. A fun, engaging Star Trek game. Under D'Angelo we're getting a treadmill. Look at crafting. There's nothing Trek about that. http://sto-forum.perfectworld.com/showpost.php?p=18225671&postcount=7

I get the issue. Most people do. We're a long loving way from any of the series or even the movies. But CBS/Paramount/whoever haven't said 'No' or 'Stop' yet. And you know they would drop that hammer. Hell, they did with Activision(I think) back in the day. They thought a 'city-builder' where you controlled the Borg and assimilated worlds was too damm much. This from the company who had a hand in Armada(The Borg win their campaign outright, but shenanigans ensue) and Armada 2(campaign ends as Borg and Feds vs Undine to drive them back into their own dimension, because they're just that badass).

And Barclay's implied-to-be-weird holofantasies. What about Nog's "favorite holoprogram?" Then there was pretty much the entire crew of Voyager. Remember Tuvok's Pon'Farr? I also remember multiple instances of bat'leth foreplay between Dax and Worf (not to mention Worf and Troi taking a "stimulating" walk on the beach...). OH, and didn't Commander Tucker get knocked up in a holodeck? Yeah, safe bet the holodecks could use a touch of romance somewhere, even if only implied.

I wonder, what did it take to unlock the second row of skills? We levelled up to 10, Centurion, got 35k points in the first row and it says the other should unlock over 33k, but didnt. What gives?

However, 99% of the content is easy enough that you don't need to min/max, so play whatever makes you happy. If they haven't changed it then Liberated Borg tactical or science officers are probably just as bullshit for instance running. You get slightly more versatility in space, and more importantly no STF boss in the game has immunity to their racial attack. Which slows them down for sixty seconds and periodically stuns them randomly. It pretty much trivializes any melee centric boss. Unless they fixed it I think the tactical officer's cooldown resetting/lowering power also works on it, meaning you can solo bosses that require groups with a bit of intelligent kiting. Thought they were the remnants of what was left of PVP for the last few months. Then again I have not queued up for PVP in almost a year. I'm a little sad about that really. PVP was actually kind of fun before all the PVE grinding just to be somewhat competitive without spending a dime. I didn't care so much about the exploits and the power creep because most of us had access to that stuff.

I just did the maths, and it seems like at 150 dil to a zen and current exchange prices, buying stacks of contra and converting to Zen would give you 1 zen per 15882 EC. And buying Master Key 10-packs and selling them for EC would give you 25688 EC per zen. It seems like you could make money from nothing simply by buying contra, converting to zen, buying keys, and selling on the exchange, in an infinite cycle assuming they hold near current prices. Did my maths gently caress up somewhere?

az posted:Just out of curiosity, where do you buy contra and how do you exchange it for Zen? Contraband's a reward from certain Duty Officer missions or can be bought on the exchange, and can be handed in at 5 Contraband for 2000 Dilithium at security officers. Dilithium can be turned into Zen on the Dil Exchange, under the little drop-down menu off your minimap. It takes a few hours for a hand-in to happen. I have a feeling that ultimately you'd make money faster simply using your alts to run the missions that generate the contraband and selling it directly on the exchange.

Well your limited by the actual time constraints of turning in the contra but otherwise yeah you can grind out EC by "selling" your excess contra processing capacity.
