This. And Sinclair isn't really competing at all with what Viacom does so I can't imagine that being a major issue. There's room for a two-hour weekly show with a one-hour Sinclair program that highlights first-run house show stuff.

He doesn't like wrestlers audibly calling spots or botching for the sake of trying new moves they haven't gotten down perfectly but Cena's been doing this for some time now.

Nobody in the world is unbiased, but I'd say Dave has been more fair to Cena than most internet wrestling personalities.

Cena's hurricanrana is really bad I wish he would stop doing it. The dude is really great at power moves, he should stick to pulling out lariats and powerbombs and stop with the sloppy faux-lucha poo poo.

Most people here would probably consider the huricánrana as it's actually done in Mexico 'sloppy'. It's supposed to be a roll up not an impact move. Cena's actually looks fine from that perspective except uh he doesn't actually pin with it.

He's too loving big and it always ends up looking like a bad powerbomb counter instead of a rana.

It's pretty clear (at least to me) that watching all the G-1 shows is making Dave salty toward other wrestling. I had Cena/Cesaro around ***, not MOTYC level at all but also nowhere near deserving of the burial Dave put on Cena. Especially when compared to the actual Bad Match later on the card that they both appropriately hated. Every match I've ever heard Dave dismantle like that was in the negative stars territory, and no one could say that about Cena/Cesaro.

flashy_mcflash

To be fair to Dave, he's probably tired as hell and irritable since this news cycle has been batshit crazy even without having to cover a bunch of long G1 matches.

I was a little surprised at all the HM nominations it got while other good recent tv matches like the Cesaro/Ambrose match on Smackdown I liked a lot got barely anything, but I guess that's one of the things about a bigger audience and live watching.

Also I am a sucker for dumb weapon spots

Right. Sinclair's entire model of doing business is:

1: Buy local television stations
2: Get into disputes with cable / satellite providers over carriage fees and threaten to take said stations off the air
3: Goto 1

I'm sure they'd have no issue whatsoever making a cable deal for ROH to get the programming in better timeslots than 9 a.m. on Sunday mornings.

Well it's kind of a moot point anyway, since seemingly no one on cable wants to pay for pro wrestling programming .

It's spike tv. What else is there?

As far as ROH, that would never work on Spike until those boys learn to slow down and sell, first. Between that and their lack of quality lighting, they won't have a chance.

The whole thing seemed to boil down to Austin bringing up Shamrock in a conversation during a podcast, stopping and mumbling,"You know I should really get in touch with Ken, maybe do a podcast with him...." and then actually following up on it.

I really enjoy the shows where he just catches up with somebody because they haven't talked in a while or he's never had a chance to talk to the person at all and he just wants to shoot the poo poo. Nothing being sold or promoted (though Austin always makes a point to promote their e-mails/websites/twitter etc or any work they're currently doing), just a couple of guys talking about wrestling back in the day :allears:

Really? That was particularly terrible JR. Sounded like he just woke up and was in rear end in a top hat supreme mode. You could tell Colt didn't agree with most of what JR said, but I just don't think he's a confrontational guy.
