That would involve considerably more flavor than traditional Cuban food, offending the locals. Pass out plantains and clumps of geasy beef to sate them.

Both the Bay area and LA are worth visiting. San Simeon, Big Sur, and Monterey deserve a visit too.

Never go to the Inland Empire.

Yes on all counts. I'm getting married in a week and a half and we're doing part one of a honeymoon in Monterey.:3:

Of all the things I did when I was last in L.A./Orange County, leaving was the most enjoyable.

In second place was listening to the Fallout soundtrack and envisioning the place as the post-nuclear hellscape it so clearly already was in spirit, though not yet in form.

I'm either doing tourism really right or really wrong because my itinerary is always the same:

1) Street food
2) Day drink
3) Historical, cultural, or personal attraction
4) "Good" food
5) Nightlife (see, e.g., 1 and 2)

You get away from this because it's specified "nations", but Corsican cuisine is amazing. And has cheese. Which is very good

The breakfast in Iceland came every morning with the saddest looking orange slices I'd ever seen. They really shouldn't have bothered.

Whale has an interesting taste. Didn't get to try puffin, though, and I stayed far away from the fermented shark's head nonsense.

Seriously I want to find out where you guys are getting your Cuban food because while it's not spicy I would never call it bland. I want to go on a massive investigate trip to track exactly where you guys were led astray like that journalist who went to Uruguay to find the werewolf who gave Suárez his curse referee Suárez purportedly attacked as a youth soccer player.

But I don't eat a lot of Cuban because why would I do that when I can eat God's own cuisine, TexMex? Made by actual Texmexicans?

Have some plantains!

My baseline cuisines are Tex-Mex, Barbecue and Thai. Cuban is basically hosed in comparison.
