Oh I don't feel bad at all. I just wish there was an easier way of seeing which leg armor (or belts, wrists, feet, etc) go with which chestpiece (and the rest), and then which dye color combinations to really pull it all together....

The easiest way I've found is to open up the "collections" window where you can quickly look through almost every set of adaptive armor that exists (with good-sized thumbnail images), preview pieces on your own character in any combination you like, and then you leave your preview window open, search for dyes on the GTN and preview different color schemes.

Tried this just now and found that, even though I was leaving the preview window open, it kept switching back to my default (equipped) armors when I went to pick the next item (ie. previewed a wrist piece, then when trying to select a belt from another set, the wrist piece defaulted back to what I had equipped, not the piece I'd just previewed).

What I'd really like is something like the old City of Heroes Costume Creator, that allowed you to use all the different costume pieces and colors to 'make' a character outside of the game...

[Edit:] Holy poo poo, I re-read what I just posted and I think I might be taking Pretty Princess Space Dress-Up too seriously.... :gay:

You have to keep the preview window open. Just click the other UI behind it and it will go to the background until you preview the next item.

That was with the preview window open.

Ironically it works if I search the GTN; I can select multiple different items and they 'stick', but if I try to do the same using the Collections tab (via the Inventory), nada - pops back to the default items.

No bonus series on Corellia, just the Black Hole daily area. Belsavis has a bonus series that has a ton of dailies along with it. It's good credits so worth running.

I don't know about Imperial side but on the Republic side you get it at fleet so maybe try there.

Bonus series starts on the orbital station I believe and there's an area with dailies you can do without having done the bonus series in the bottom left of the second zine.

Belsavis' bonus series is level 50. For levelling up to 55 your best bets are flashpoints, Section X, Black Hole, the Belsavis bonus series and Makeb if you don't hit 55 by then.

According to swtor_miner on reddit, the pricing for guild stronghold and legacy bank tab unlocks have gone way down with the next patch. Like, the first bank tab unlock goes from 5 million to 350k. I guess all the forums whining had an effect after all.

Sunday is a "see who shows up" raid. Depending on how many people show up, and gear level, we decide what to run then.

So after a few hours of playing around on the GTN and Cartel Markets, I've almost completed my first 'Pretty Space Princess Dress-Up' look for Rheranni.

Just need the desired hand and boot armors (appropraitely dyed) and I'm finished; then it's on to my Jugg.... followed by my other characters.

Didn't see this while I was playing. Your best odds are to do a search for "Goon" and be sure to change the comment column to guild to make sure you've got the right person then send a whisper.

Baron Porkface posted:

What I'd guess is that the new crates dropping after the patch will be big sellers due to the new housing decorations within. Older crates will most likely go down in value for a while because of the lack of housing items and the fact that people will be saving credits for housing and guild ship unlocks.

The next PTS update should hit tomorrow. Text from the conquests tutorial screen has been datamined:

quote:

As the war effort evolves, Conquest Events provide you with a new set of shifting objectives every week. The current conquest event can be viewed by opening your Mission Log and clicking on the CONQUEST tab.

Complete objectives to earn conquest points and meet your personal point target before the end of the event to unlock exclusive rewards. Your conquests points are reset each week so pay close attention to the countdown timer!

You don't need to be in a guild to participate in conquest events, but it's a good idea to join one.

During each conquest event, several planets will be contested. If your guild owns a flagship, you may choose to invade a planet, which provides bonus points to conquest objectives and pits your guild against others on that planet's leaderboard for the duration of the event.

Whichever guild places first on the leaderboard takes control of the planet when the next event begins!

If your guild places on the leaderboard for a planet, every guild member who met his or her contribution target will be granted special guild rewards. Each guild member's contribution can be viewed in the guild window. If you join or leave a guild, your contribution will be reset.

Conquering planets unlocks special priveleges, including temporary access to the special Command Walker mount, increased potency of flagship orbital support, achievements, and more!

SWTOR is so poorly coded that SSDs, when I switched to them, provided no noticeable benefit whatsoever. Load times are still painfully long. What's really annoying is that the one thing I -have- noticed is that it uses splash screens to artificially blind you from texture pop-in when the essentials are loaded. You can move around and use skills/etc, just not see anything...because apparently it's better to artificially inflate your wait times than it is to let you see the hideous base textures load I guess?

When I put SWTOR on an SSD, I noticed a tremendous jump in load times. Either you've got the world's worst SSD, something else horribly wrong with your PC, or you're straight making poo poo up.

I tried Unleashed for a while on one and didn't really see any noticeable benefit over the ones already afforded by using a SSD, so probably? Looks like the program's updated quite a bit since I last used it, so my experience may be irrelevant now.

Also, goddamn, that casino event; thought I'd give it a try for the first time while leveling a Commando, and about 5 hours (and only 700k credits) later, I've got about 30 certificates, a Vectron Magnus, and the Rancor. :magical:

e: Are the reward vehicles like the GSI bikes in the sense that they're only "Bound to Legacy" as long as they're not actually used (as in added to the vehicle list)? Kind of a bummer if so.
