Hah, I was actually thinking about future expansion packs, and imagining an expansion pack where you can create TOS-era characters that exist on their own little independent bit of the game. There's a single mission chain like Legend of Romulus, no levels or tiers; finishing the mission chain unlocks the TOS-era endgame with its own STFs and gearing up runs. Yoink the Droz Flashback interiors and K7 exterior for stations and stuff, make a downgraded old-timey spacedock interior for the expansion hub. They've already got a lot of the ships they'd need in game as low-tier things. Set it just after the launch of Excelsior, give us Mirandas, TOS Connies, Refits, Excelsiors, Rommie BoPs, D7s and Klingon BoPs... I very much doubt they'll update DS9 until the Cardassian/Dominion expansion. Assuming that's expansion 3, that's when they'll probably update DS9 and revamp the horrendous cardie missions the way they did the Borg.

Didn't ds9 already have an update at some point? Bit of an odd predicament now, most of my game time is spent grinding to equip my many alts with fancy space stuff. Knowing now that it won't be top of the line for long makes me want to stop while realizing that things need to move on at some point or everyone would quit.

If these T6 ships are anything but T5.5 with the sci destroyer/vet ship mode switching as their special T6-only bonus I'll be surprised. Maybe they'll inflate the stats a little but if they do that there's no reason they can't tweak the lockbox/fleet ships the same way, as they did recently with the BoPs. Lore-wise it'd make sense too, building on the newer, prototype designs with that klank ship having aspects of the Mogh and sci destroyers in it's model.
