Good to see the Doxxnet working fast enough to find their names.

And yet he has no problem with calling out others by their real names. Makes ya think, don't it

Yeah his "I'm their ally, YOU aren't" stance is the biggest pile of poo poo because no, you don't get to claim to be an ally, other people will call you that and only if you actually make steps towards being one and actually walk the walk. Tarnowski is the complete opposite of inclusive, cover of an RPG be damned.

Out of dread curiosity, does anyone actually own Lords of Olympus? I noticed it when I was glancing at the Pundit's site and my immediate reaction was , because it is a game that bills itself with "The focus is on roleplaying and the story, fostering creativity." Then I noticed that A) It has Diceless Roleplaying in the title and B) "Players bid for ability classes, so they get a say in how powerful their characters are in certain areas" is the second part of the blurb. Am I correct in my assumption that this game just switches from D&D groggery to Amber groggery?

Yes. It's pretty much Amber. Which falls exactly into the storygame category that Pundowski always rails against only it was made by his personal hero Eric Wujcik and you see he runs the official Amber forums so its okay if he rips a system off. This is fine because

Because Wujick's GMing advice in Amber is about as awful as anything you'd find in an OSR viking hat game, complete with dumb "Players want to help define or explore setting mysteries? gently caress 'em, Trumps now run on Trump juice and their deck is out!" stuff.

You have to understand that Pundit, and theRPGSite in general, advocate for a very adversarial GM style, and Amber is about as adversarial as you can get. So it becomes an honorary real RPG.

Mostly, Pundit is just actively hostile to innovation (after a certain cutoff date to allow stuff like Amber in), and apart from one of his D&D clones having a mythic Indian setting, he basically does nothing that isn't a rehash of what's come before.

This is why my general tack with him is to remind him of these things, and in the face of all this "swine" this and "pseudo-activist" that, I pretty much refer to his "design" as cargo cult game design, with him in the place of a pseudo-designer. It's shut him up* pretty well a few times now. *reduced him to even more incoherently enraged gibbering.

Clearly his diluted pseudo-India setting is a meta commentary on the present and historical entitlement white men have felt to pillage and harvest all the interesting doo-dads from cultures they've domineered and put them on display with no understanding or respect.
