I'm bored and feel like working on random RPG Content in Warbirds RPG. Should I stat up some 1918 WW2 Biplanes for that one cool FATE Setting, Kriegszeppelin Valkyrie (WW1 Biplanes+Battlestar Galactica+Top Gun), or do a couple+ Crimson Skies planes?

The Crimson Skies box set didn't come with minis. There were some licensed minis, including proper metal minis, not that clix stuff, but they weren't standard or common. I wish FASA had lived just a bit longer, so we could've got more Crimson Skies material.

Mad Science supplement for it the other day (small mini review I made here). Isn't G+ a bit more clique-ish? I've gotten the impression that it's easier to stay within your own little group compared to the freewheeling madcap anarchy that is Facebook. CHARITY COUNT: $1941.43. If today was a day, noted comic book artist/Expanding Earth advocate/crazypants Neal Adams would have just been born!

Could Warbirds take something like, I dunno, Crimson Skies of Arcadia? The setting details make me think more Skies of Arcadia than Crimson Skies, myself. I might just be weird that way.

In actual game "news", the review I wrote of the 13th Age Bestiary is up. http://www.gamer-xp.com/reviews-13th-age-bestiary-monstrously-good/ "Monstrously good" isn't an exaggeration (but it did come from the editor), this is a beautiful book chock full of good crunch, good fluff, and good art.

Nah, its pretty drat Skies of Arcadia too, what with the flying Airships not being gas-filled zeppelins, but Metal armored Dreadnoughts with a "floatstone" core. And, of course, flying islands with no "ground" below them. Warbirds is just a pretty cool and fast system that I've loosely mused about everything from the default setting to WWI Biplanes to Area 88/Ace Combat style jets (though maybe earlier jets as opposed to F-15s and Su-27s and stuff). Also, here, have some KZV Warbirds Bi-planes. They're all kinda samey, but not too different from Warbird's own WW2 supplement I guess. Though Biplanes might be a bit too simple/spartan for Warbird's various traits and stuff.  Example: SPAD 13  Armor 1 Performance 3 Structure 4 (0 0 -1 -1) Innate Traits: Limited Fuel, Ordnance Hardpoint, Improved Structure, Improved Durability Extra Traits: Weapons: Twin Vickers Machineguns

Late entry, but I haven't checked the thread in a while and I wanted us to solidly double the original offer: I also love that 13th Age Bestiary review. Just for all the story hooks and background information for each monster, it's probably the best supplement of its type I've ever owned.

This is basically why G+ has become the primary ttg hangout zone, especially for the more toxic types and OSR post-blogs. G+ makes it REALLY easy to completely sink yourself into an echo chamber.
