Not as strong as you'd expect.
One can say 'at least the plasma torpedoes/High-yields may have done something', except the high-yields are destructible.

This is something of a problem with carriers and pseudo-carriers. The game's been throwing more area stuff in general, as well as more targets. The fighters balance their damage and numbers with terrible health. But given the spawn time is 20-40 seconds and the EXP mechanic is meant to have you wanting to keep them alive, and being that the lesser craft are meant to make up for your own relative lack of damage and (In the case of full 2-hanger Carriers)being so slow and bulky, there's kind of a weird thing going on.

Give me a Frigate any day. I suppose Runabouts serve well enough for Feds?

They're decent but hardly must haves. They both have boff slots that are functional but not great. The main advantage to them is the built in cloak and sensor analysis. The destroyer doesn't turn well enough function as an escort so you'll want to run both of them as beam boats. If you real like the look of the thing and have the money to burn go ahead and grab one of them. If you're trying to maximize your bang for your buck you should really be looking at fleet ships.

They're both about 120 mil I think.

Any suggestions on how to make it longer? Also how should I make the mission longer?

Ok, thx. I've been saving up for Fleet ships, though holding off on those until Tier 6 comes along I think. Also been saving for the 116 rifle, which is a pain in the rear end, since Crayons are so drat hard to come by (Yes I know they're not Crayons). I really just like the look of the destroyers.

Finally, the Aegis set. I have a couple from before they revamped teh system, are they already counted as Mk XII? Mine doesn't say Mk XII, they just have an orange or red looking box in the decription (I'm assuming this was to show the scaling ability of the previous version). So basically, are mine already Mk XII or do I have to do anything to research it to make it 12? And are they even worth it? thanks!

^^^ Legacy Aegis sets were upgraded, although I've noticed the display can be sorta glitchy at times.

Not battle cloak though. I think overall they're pretty mediocre given all the lockbox options.

There are much better choices out there. I got one out of a box back when they were still fairly new, so I sold it and bought a Jem'Hadar Dreadnought. I've been flying it ever since.

There's one niche they still fit in well with, though it's a narrow one. On a Federation (not FedRom), they're the only ships that can cloak without being dependent on consoles to do so. Sensor Analysis is a boon to it as well, but as previously stated, it's a battle cloak, and there are more interesting Lock Box and Lobi ships out there. That said, I still like the Adapted Battle Cruiser on one of my Feds. It makes for a surprisingly useful and flexible ship, able to switch from tactical cruiser to healboat (for when the stars are in alignment and one is needed) or sci-harassment just by changing the universals.

Speaking of swarmers, someone in chat mentioned they are better than the frigates the xindi carrier has. Is this still true or should I stick to the original plan for a pair of elite xindi frigates? I can see the argument that the frigates have terrible skills in terms of pooping mines in terrible places along with the aoe flashes being done while near nothing as well.

I suspect that's situational depending on how much AoE you're gonna be seeing in the fight. If there's a fair bit, go with the frigates so they can survive long enough to do damage. If there's not much, swarmers.

You can poo poo out another 3 swarmers per hanger every 24 seconds anyway so even if they die a lot you get a fresh batch regularly.

For the record, swarmers have like 1200 hull and basically pop the second something opens fire within the same light year. They're still fun to use, but they're pretty fragile even by fighter standards.

I'd probably still probably use the Xindi frigates if you're in their carrier, but they're definitely on the weaker end of the scale there and an indirect handicap to an otherwise great ship. They're definitely no mesh weaver or romulan drone ship, anyway.

I'd maybe extend the section where you run around the camp and see what a cushy life the bijorans have. You could add a day-care where the workers leave their children, (They could be playing with some cute epohhs or something) only to later return, see them cry at their parents death and kill them too.

If you're asking about the foundry missions, it tells me that they need to be level 31+

I think foundry authors can set a minimum level for their missions, and adding certain enemy groups (like Fek'ihri) forces a minimum level to the mission, too.

Give it a while. Cryptic hosed something up very very badly server-side so now it takes like ten seconds each for DOFF jobs and R&D projects to actually complete, one at a time. God only knows why.

And it probably won't be fixed anytime soon, since they already "fixed" it last patch to say "finishing" instead of giving a negative time. :suicide:

I like how he had to put in DPS restrictions because restricting gear isn't enough to keep everyone at 'canon' damage values. And his max allowed DPS is still 2-3 times higher than the average pubbie in ISE :ughh:
