That's for all bosses, f you die you get nothing. It also means if you tie with a Heide Knight or some other enemy with a one time drop you're screwed unless you use an ascetic. I bet it'd be really annoying to double KO on a red phantom NPC and have it drop something. Oh well, I didn't want that incredibly rare drop anyway.

I've lost rotten fights to burning to death at the same time as killing him. Luckily rotten is a pretty easy boss. I also lost my last freyja fight due to the little spiders, and I'm pretty sure I rolled off the edge as I killed nashandra the first time through.

Oh my god it's so hard to go back to DS1 on the 360. Even setting aside the gameplay changes and weapon leveling, the framerate, UI and graphics are so much worse in comparison! I still like the kick more than guard break though.

Here is a script to do the martial arts moveset if anyone is interested. You need to either: have no weapons and wear vanquishers seal OR use caestus. There are single-hand moves and powerstance moves. It is responsive to your STR/DEX just like the barehand moveset. This is courtesy of 4chan/Eur0pa&Querns. Man, my Roaring Halberd at +5 and Raw absolutely murders bosses (all my stats are 20, so Dark infusions, etc, actually drop the overall damage quite drastically...) but holy poo poo it's aggravating in regular fights. Unless I've got an entire football field to myself, the swing of the drat thing will end up locking me into the 'deflected' animation and get me killed.

Welp, here's my Fashion Souls entry   Gonna hit 15 million souls soon. I'm sort of torn on whether or not I want to just keep pvping and wait for the new DLC, or just go ahead and roll on into NG+. I know I'm way overleveled for NG+, but I killed a whole lot of Giant Lords for the twinkling titanite so... edit: tables

gently caress, I updated GeDoSaTo and now I can't get DS2 to work with it Borderless fullscreen (a necessity) crashes the game on startup, and steam has also crashed (?!) twice now. e: three times. e2: like 10 times. Remember kids; if it ain't broke, don't fix it.

They're obnoxious as poo poo but pretty slow to react if you just charge them. Roll under, or just sprint to the side of, their projectiles and you can wail on them. Taking it slow will get you killed more often than not. Also, summon the NPC in the first hut you come to. She'll wreck poo poo and distract the casters for you.

Even with a +Magic Def ring and gear that has high Magic Def getting hit once just takes such a huge chunk of my health out. I know it's doable but, gently caress, it's tough. I'm taking a break and seeing if I can get any further into the DLC dungeon yet

If you're careful, you oughta be able to get the one on the right with a bow or something. At that point it's just dealing with the two melee assholes, which is a huge pain, but they do leash if you want to try and split them up a bit. Really, I'd just summon up the NPC and let her do some tanking for you. She helps a great deal.

That is probably the most obnoxious part of Amana though, whiff your ranged attack against the hammer dudes and they'll flatten you. Which approach to take dealing with them all depends on your build.
