Did anyone actually taunt him about his dead kid or is he just crazy? I think that type of troll is way beyond anyone in the fleet.

He brought it up himself when we were spamming him with disco balls. An old fleetmate of his mentioned something about him being drunk a lot, so I said something about playing STO wasted and he launched into a tirade about the dead son. Thing is, though, he uses that for everything. If you quit his fleet, you get a message like "I hope you will experience the pain of my dead son" or something like that, so it's not just us, it's everyone who gets it. Aside from Dental, he also spams members of Snoo, Hobo, Reddit, and several others with dead son comments.

I made the mistake of contacting him back, and to be fair I was a complete rear end about it, after which he spent two months mailing me crap. Like 1250 shield generators every other day crap. But also random valuable things, like lockbox consoles and a Technician, too. Dude's totes cray.

I am currently stuck and not sure where to go. I completed the Romulan mission where you are brain washed and forced to construct the weapon. After that I have no missions listed on the right and the admiral at New Romulus says he has nothing for me. Where am I supposed to go?

You can only generate it once you have a character to full reputation though. Then you give it to a new character. Also, there is an XP weekend coming up in a couple weeks where you can probably level a new captain to 50 in a day or so.

The "override <system> safety" powers sound like counterparts to the Emergency Power skills. Maybe raising the caps instead of the power levels, but with some other tradeoffs. Would synchronize well with the power level inflations the game has had, anyway.
