drat, I wish I had taken a screenshot of the CCE I was in yesterday that took about 40 minutes to finish. There were multiple times I was flying around with all of the shards on my rear end because everyone else was dead. Almost everyone present when I saw them alive were using Cryptic Special Builds. DBBS, cannons, torps, and I'm pretty sure I saw some mines and rear torps being fired as well.

It is amazing how bad some players are at this game. I've been playing the fleet mark and omega mark fleet actions and parsing the damage dps. Even with my Level 40 Mirror Qin with Mk X and XI Uncommon and Rare gear, I've come in second in every fleet action (except maybe my very first one). Now I just got to figure out how to macro some chained skills.

Also, in working toward a Level 50 ship for my klank, I have a dilemma about whether or not to get the fleet Somraw or the fleet Mogh for my tac captain.

To be fair, Crystal Entity is like the one instance where rear torps are useful due to those damned suicide crystals slamming into you. Having a huge damage dump on an unshielded target like that can be useful if it gets close and you try to kite it.

I doubt that was why people had it though. This game has taught me differently. :gonk:

The Fleet Somraw has the same boff layout and handling as your mirror Qin. The Mogh is cruiser. They're both really good ships so it comes down to your preference for escorts or cruisers.

Nope, but depending on how long it's been, they move your character to an archive. Try logging in and out a few times. If that doesn't work, contact support and they'll get it back for you.

I used this part of the wiki: http://wiki.wesleyguide.com/parsing. It was quick to setup and use and I suck at computers compared to most goons.

I've tried both escorts and cruisers as I've been leveling up and I'm not sure which I like better. Both have been fun. The quality of the Mirror Qin seems way ahead of all the ships that came before it.

If you had a subscription once upon a time, which you would have back then, you should still have the subscriber unlocks like the account bank and EC cap increase. Maybe even a veteran reward or two depending on how long you played. Might be worth dealing with support over. Their support sucks, though.
