What is the point of using fresh water in toilets, anyway? Can't they use gray water for that, if you're just going to use it for bathroom purposes and never drink it?

Facebook's facial recognition recognizes Money Face, further legitimizing it. Beautiful. I posted it to experiment with; I imagine I'm more likely to get comments about how I got stupid all of a sudden, or that I must be drunk posting.

I just have a little dose of some good old fashioned vaguebooking. I was going to go through and grab some highlights, but I found something to change my mind. So here's this Just an example of the kind of thing he posts pretty frequently. And no, he doesn't have a twitter, this is not a twitter crosspost. Then there's this. I highlighted the original date. Okay, right? I mean, it was 2010. Who knows what was going on. Then this happened Yeah, he liked this about a month ago so it popped up in my feed. Also I like the cut of green's jib. Edit: I hosed up the colors, but the two different shades of yellow are the same person, as well as being the person who posted the rant. Palisader has a new favorite as of 04:03 on Aug 26, 2014 |

Well mainly within the gaming community, there appears to be an upsetting number of people who think all talks of gender equality or being more respectful toward women and trans folk are the fault of Anita Sarkeesian spreading The Feminism everywhere, like an influenza.

why do some people have this insistence that having more women in gaming is a bad thing? It's not like overnight games will suddenly become nothing but pink and fluffy and non-violent. Besides, if those pink, fluffy, and non-violent games are any good i will still play them

People are often pretty afraid of poo poo they don't understand, and to most men, girls are the biggest mystery of all.

Technically greywater violates plumbing code in basically every state in the US, though there are people pushing for it and it's entered a sorta grey area where water conservation is a big deal.

Has this showed up in anybody else's newsfeed yet? I don't really feel like going through the whole list but I'd be willing to bet every single one of these cases resulted in the perpetrator being arrested, charged with the crime and sent to prison. This same guy posted a lot of the "Where's the Difference" crap when Trayvon Martin was big news. Most of his posts tend to be anger inducing. Even on poo poo I agree with him on, the way he expresses himself just feels like a personal attack on whoever is reading his post. rear end in a top hat on facebook posted:

This was shared by a childhood friend of mine, who is generally a pretty good guy, but he is - how to put this kindly - maybe a tiny bit ignorant about the wider world outside of the town where he lives. I've had discussions with him about this sort of thing before, and he doesn't seem to realize/care that being hugely anti-immigration because of "all the Pakis coming to mooch off our tax money" is hugely racist and xenophobic and makes him look like an absolute rear end in a top hat . But he grew up listening to his hugely racist and xenophobic dad talk like that, and since our community was like 99.99% white, he never really had the chance to examine those beliefs. I think he's starting to come around now that he's taking a college course and has become friends with one of his classmates who is, you guessed it, a first-generation Pakistani immigrant. I just need him to now make the connection between "hey this one guy is pretty cool" and "hey maybe then that entire group of people probably is composed of a bunch of individuals who are probably also pretty cool". (Also, we live in dirty socialist Canada, so I know there are programs and services in place to, say, provide medications to elderly people who can't afford it. I also don't think he realizes that the image he shared was made by/for Americans.)
