"t5u" ships get everything t6 ships get except:

1) Exotic new boff slot, which will probable require sacrificing conventional boff seating anyway, and may have abilities that are useless. Which may also not be included on future t6 ships, which may be the 'secondary deflector' of this release.

2) An unlockable trait for use with any ship.

And that is all.

All lockbox, lobi, prize, reward ships are upgraded instantly for free.

Upgrading c-store and fleet ships will have a cost between 500-1000 zen.

If they keep it to $3-5 and have it as a token you can sell on the exchange it honestly won't be that bad. The only real downside is not getting to mess around with the new boff stuff on them, I guess, since you can always unlock ship traits on T6 ships and use them with your old ones.

Good question. Here's the breakdown on Fleet ships. Right now, Fleet Ships offer +1 console slot, +10% Hull HP and +10% Shield HP over a standard T5 ship. If you were to upgrade a Fleet Ship to T5-U, it would gain all the benefits mentioned:

-Bonus scaling HP
-Starship Mastery passive abilities
-+1 Console Slot

The short answer to your question is no. They will have 10% better shield and hull than the non-fleet T5-U variant and have +1 console slot.
