Yesterday I stopped by a burger festival that was taking place nearby over this weekend. Besides the burgers, there were some cool ride: I don't care if it's a POS (even had an automatic) but it looks like the best Corvette ever. The owner of the Cadillac looked like a clone of Clint Eastwood from Gran Torino, and chased some people away from climbing on the hood.

The Silverado was just there, I think, there was an American-owned burger stand right next to it so I'd assume it was the owner's work truck. They are very rare here so it could easily be part of the show if they just washed and polished it a bit

My brother in law is a car dude and has had this in storage since I've known him for a few years now but finally got rid of an old Corvette to have room for it in his garage. It's a 66 Sunbeam Tiger which has been modified with a 302 (pretty sure) and what he thinks is a Mustang drag car rear end/transmission. Manual 4 speed. I found it to be slightly scary to drive, pedals were unresponsive and spongy and of course it's got a lot of power. Seating was weird, and rollbar and seatbelt harnesses weren't fully installed but we just took it around the neighborhood. I swear I took a full body shot and am not a total idiot but my phone is a pos. Funny because my wife just justified a new iphone purchase so she could photograph our baby and while I don't care what the reason was I was like suuuure, photos. But I'll be damned that having a nice camera on you phone is not a luxury these days. E: He said he's probably going to vinyl wrap it in "some weird color scheme". This car has a great story too. He was at a light when what appeared to be an NFL player (Denver) pulled up next to him in a 7-series BMW. Big guy said "Cute car. Is it fast" My brother in law is a very quiet unassuming guy and was like yeah it'll go. They ended up racing and when he beat the poo poo out of the BMW the guy pulled up to the next like and said "WHAT YOU GOT IN THAT LITTLE BITCH?!" The captain was briefly demoted and first officer suspended for two weeks? You'd think saving the lives of 61 passengers would merit nothing more than an administrative slap on the wrists (censure or something of the sort). Also, I wonder what the consequences would have been if they HAD chose to ground the flight because the fuel gauges were not functioning, which as the article said was a common issue of the new 767 model. At least they were honored later on for their feat.
