That's a big difference, in practice, which is why I don't think her voice ended up being all that similar. Not that I'm complaining though, since Koshimizu does good work and was indeed a great pick for this role.

Rewatched Act 5 so I could actually hear it. Koshimizu is GREAT as Mako-chan, of course this stems from her being a really good Seiyuu but the casting continues to work. Even in the new anime, Mako's senpai comes off as a dick. Well at least this time around there isn't a bunch of filler of her falling for guys who look like the dude. As others said, the animation doesn't look nearly as bad this time around, I notice they went and redid part of Usagi's transformation to reflect on her Tiara upgrade, good on them. I like how all the senshi so far have had their own unique catchphrase instead of a bunch of "Likewise" or just reusing "In the name of *planet*, I'll punish you!" Next episode preview pulled the same crap as Act 4 did, only reusing old footage. I really hope that isn't a sign that the next episode is gonna look really bad or something. Nephrite's still kicking about, but I figure we'll see Zoisite taking charge starting next episode if they plan on following the Manga save for melty faces.

Speaking of which I'm really enjoying the new dub, and watching it continues to make it really difficult for me to decide which I enjoy more, it or Crystal (speaking purely from a storyline/character perspective).

Hulu has thrown up the dub of episodes 5-23 if anyone cares. I'm actually enjoying this new dub, Stephanie Sheh has won me over completely. edit: oh boy a 'the internet is a series of tubes' joke.
