The first half was pretty good, which coming from me is a strong statement since I have long since utterly bottomed out on shounen battle stuff, which this most certainly is. It's unique enough to hold up, but with that TL group it might as well have been a group of drunk college students in a movie theater to me; it doesn't matter how good the material is on the screen at that point. I may very well purchase it when it becomes available though. It's not the manga's fault that it was translated by jackasses.

Wakabayashi Toshiya’s 4-koma Collection seems to be the mangas proper name, fun little series of romance 4-koma's sometimes with continuity, sometimes without.

Let's have something also featuring kickass fighting schoolgirls but without the fanservice: Hayate x Blade! Okay, it's at least as much comedy as action, if not more. I like it and think it deserves more attention, though.

Yotsuba is pretty much the best manga to read after a lovely day because it's just such a joy to read about a kid who's equally hilarious, annoying, adorable, and all around fun.

Dr. Hitomi's Infirmary is about a cyclopean school nurse in a world of monster-people. Teachers include a four-armed dude, Basically Chewbacca, a plant-girl, and a woman who has control of her hair. It's unfortunately jam-packed with fanservice but is otherwise actually pretty charming and funny a lot of the time with dealing with monster-students who are developing new characteristics, and how they deal with'em(growing wings, uncontrollable invisibility, zombification, etc) edit: the latest chapter has Patrick Stewart as a teacher, too. I knew he looked similar but then it outright says it. Captain Invictus fucked around with this message at 23:51 on Sep 17, 2014 |

I love any issue where the father's friend from back in his school days shows up because of how much Yotsuba hates him. All he did was trick her once when they first met and Yanda is an enemy for life. She was told about stranger danger and he said no it's cool I know your dad just let me in.

I was recommended this series called Inari, Konkon, Koi Iroha and it was a very fun, hilarious, cute light romance/comedy in which a young girl gains the power to transform into other people as a reward for helping a goddess out at a shrine she visits near her school. This leads to lots of trouble and shenanigans. Other characters get their own storylines that sometimes are better than the main one(similar to Kimi no Todoke's sideplots), while some others get pretty terrible ones(Sumizome's winds up being really awful in a "oh, right, Japan is terribly backwards in a lot of ways" type) but other than that one and the goddess's brother, it's really lighthearted and progresses at a natural, brisk pace. It also has some greaaaaaat faces.
