Head Hit Keyboard posted:Sonic Adventure is internally fixed at 640x480 and has no widescreen support. It defaults to 1280x720 windowed, in which the game is letterboxed to 800x600 with an ugly purple background filling the rest of the area. There's no controller icons so you have to guess what buttons do what. The config app has Open Your Heart blaring in the background like some lovely keygen or something. Oh and in the Steam version, the config app doesn't even work. There's a fix... that involves cracking open the registry. Combine all this with audio bugs like random blaring noises in the second part of Twinkle Park and general wonkiness carrying over from older versions but made worse by the sheer amount of porting the game has been through. It looks like they fixed the config app in this update though.

I'm not sure just how Obsidian hosed up the mouse controls in Alpha Protocol like they did. I was getting massive input lag then switched to a controller and had no issues after that.

Y'all really need to beat the average on the humble shmup bundle. Crimzon Clover is adrenaline-injected-into-eyeball madness. Danmaku Unlimited 2 is great at well and the others might be ok! But CC is the business. Get it.

I just count those as "beaten" if I've put time into it and know I'm not going back. I save the blacklist for the vile poo poo (your Grotesques Tactics, Duke Forever, etc.) I know I won't boot. But I also seem to be operating on a MUCH larger scale than y'all's ~500.  Beaten/Completed*: 772 Played: 418 Unplayed: 558 Blacklisted: 12 * Does anyone know what the hell the difference is? It baffles me.

Oh hey, they fixed the ending bug that Fable TLC PC had in the Anniversary edition. For the longest time, no matter what you did choicewise, the game would always get the input that you killed all your friends before you went to fight the final boss, and you'd never get the option to throw away the mask. As such you could have been a saint all game, but you'd still get the bad ending at the end of TLC thanks to that bug, and the devs outright said they didn't care enough to fix it. THere's a certain level of detachment really. When I play say Saints Row 4, I do it to do stupid ridiculous stuff I can't do in real life. Like kill a dozen civilians with a land shark, or sneak up on a dude and snap his neck, or make him die from dancing. whatever. One thing I can do in real life is get real loving creepy on women. So when I'm given the chance to get real loving creepy on women in video games, maybe not so much. Especially since it's all about getting creepy on women. As a woman who loves playing games the constant misogyny, objectification and sexualisation of women in games is just depressing.
