I have to make myself not go to the Ford dealership. I know if I step foot on the property, I'll end up with a '15 in my driveway and supremely pissed off wife. That said, I've convinced myself to wait a year before getting one due to first year new gen issues that plague every car.

Any soft top experts? Google hasn't been much help. Girlfriend's 2002 convertible is leaking pretty badly. When I pour water onto this spot: Most of it comes in and collects where the soft top lays down. Some of it falls to the floor near the rear wheel. This is happening on both sides of the top. No obvious damage to the top. If we fold it down 1/4, I can feel and poke my fingers around a whole bunch of overlapping pieces of fabric just to the right of the red arrow. I guess a seal broke someplace in there. Anyone seen anything like this? Is taking the top off and finding the broken seal likely the next step? How much of a pain is that?

I admit I dont know anything about verts but would a blob of silicone around the glass / fabric fix it? I looked over at stangnet.com and saw this. let me know if this helps. http://www.stangnet.com/mustang-forums/threads/convertible-leaking-problems-arg.798615/ or this.... http://mustangforums.com/forum/convertible-tech/515886-how-to-fix-a-leak-in-a-1999-2004-mustang-vert.html

So I'm going to look at a winter vehicle tomorrow, and I was curious on Stang owners opinions, the SUV i'm going to look at is a 4.0 I6 2002 Grand Cherokee. It's a car fax 1 owner, with 66k miles. pretty low miles for a 12 year old car. But I was wondering if I wouldn't be better off looking for newer (2005+) with higher mileage in the same price range? I have found a couple of Liberty's and Escapes around that price, but 2007/2008ish with 95+ thousand miles.

The I6 4.0 will just about run gravel in the cylinder heads. Extremely hard to kill. Get the Grand. I loved mine. Gas mileage sucks, but hard to complain about that and drive a Mustang.

Liberty's and escapes are trash. I'd take an i6 jeep over those easily.

I'm about to roll around to 25,000k easy going miles on the stock pirelli p-zeros (255/40/ZR19) that came with my 2012 V6 Performance Package. I'm looking for a reasonably priced, long-lasting all-season tire to change over to. What's the goon recommendation?

I tore the caliper piston boot on my rear right caliper on a 13 GT. The book says pop a new caliper on. Do I need to clamp off hoses or anything? Or are those the entire steps?

I liked Continental's Extreme Contact DWS, but now that I have a set of snow tires for winter I don't think I'll ever go back to all seasons. If the snow tires are any indication, people weren't kidding about "all-season" tires being "no-season" tires. The summer wheels are getting summer tires as soon as the stock all-seasons die.

While its an awesome car for sure, I don't see what the big deal about the GT350 is. Seems like it sits right in between the GT and GT500? Just because of all the ponies with no supercharger?

Just because of all the ponies with no supercharger? The GT500 was much nicer on paper than in reality, and was poorly suited to the track because of heat soak issues, and I've read many reviewers saying it's too much power for the platform. The GT350 looks like a more worked over chassis with a focus on trackdays rather than drag racing.

You can still slap a supercharger on the 5.0 and get 700hp and basically have what the GT500 was.

Have they mentioned a price point for the GT350 yet? My guess is the $65,000 range. e: Powershift posted:You can still slap a supercharger on the 5.0 and get 700hp and basically have what the GT500 was. Yup. Get a Performance Pack equipped GT, order the blower, and boom - A GT500 for 2/3rds the cost.

It won't be $65k. Aluminum pannels instead of carbon fibre. Steel brakes instead of carbon ceramic. no turbos, intercoolers, superchargers. No overbuilt trans or diff to deal with the shock of 500 ft/lbs at 1000 RPM like the shelby. I'm guessing base at $49,900, tech and performance pack bringing it up to $55-56k.
