The advanced queues just aren't pugable from what I've seen. Just for shits and giggles I tried a mirror advanced and 2 minutes in it was just my hide attack noob flying around a swarm of HP sponges while the other scimitars and T6 ships were all unconscious. I'd love to see those completion numbers separated out from premades and pugs.

That depends on if you were draining away the shield facings for him. If you were, I think the torpedoes he had on would do more damage. Not a valid excuse for that build, but trying to figure out the reasoning.

Even normal queues seem like they're questionable. I see multiple pubbies all locked in combat with a single npc battleship for minutes at a time. In one spectacular instance I had a guy die multiple times with this setup:

I mean, I'm not surprised that he didn't kill anything, but how did he manage to die in that in a normal mirror event?

After playing a couple of go-rounds of the mirror universe invasion, I don't understand what bizarro alternate reality some of these pubbies come from to be killing enemies slower than my hit-space-and-fly-in-circles engineer beamspam ship (edit: with Mark VII antiproton beams, lovely mismatched consoles, and random BOFF abilities, too).

What, let other players steal his kills? I don't think you understand the power of that Gal-X like he did. That's why he flew off to do poo poo by himself the whole time.

Not as strong as you'd expect.
That or 'keep it balanced'. It's an easy mistake to make, thinking that you have to think about your power levels or do anything other than 'full Power to weapons, screw anything else'.

Expecting complexity, how stupid.

It's like propping the Batmobile on cinderblocks in the front yard.

That Temporal two piece set is pretty funny. Sure, the Tachyo's a great console and it's really cheap to upgrade (which he hasn't) and the antiproton DBB has pretty good stats, but he's not benefitting from the two piece bonus without a chroniton torpedo.

Well, in fairness the tachyokinetic is still great, and if you're going to use an AP DBB the chroniton is basically a crtdx3 with a unique proc so isn't too horrible. Since they're individually decent, the useless set bonus doesn't really matter.

Everything else about it though...

The gateway doesn't always show upgrades properly. Upgrading my gear causes it to "downgrade" or have the mk vanish altogether on gateway.

Every once in a while you get a decent pub group in the mirror event; they close the rifts, they boost the power to the station. Other times, gently caress me, they're terrible, flying around in circles doing practically nothing.

Well you can't activate the portals or satellites while taking damage. So if you're horrible at building and flying a ship it's easy to get overwhelmed by spawns and flail impotently at them while accomplishing nothing. :downs: It's easy to see similar happen in any queue that requires interacting with a target... I recall watch pugs fail the Breach optional when the voth stuff was new since they didn't even try interacting with the allies while being shot at despite that not being interruptible.

From what I found with satellites and rifts is that if you are the class that gets a speed bonus (cruisers can do the satellites faster and sci ships do the rifts faster) you can do your barrel roll and complete either the closure or power up while your ship is completing the animation. Since you cannot be damaged in anyway it is how I get at the very least the station powered up even if the pubbies are dying from being overwhelmed cause you know. Who closes rifts? Gotta get that awesome kill xecspees.

Tribble patch notes:

http://sto-forum.perfectworld.com/showthread.php?p=20469481#post20469481

quote:

Delta Marks can now be earned when completing the “Mirror Invasion” event.
This includes the Daily Mark reward pack and standard reward pack.
Increased Dilithium rewards for all queues.
Normal queues will reward 360 Dilithium upon successful completion.
Advanced queues reward 720 Dilithium upon successful completion.
Elite queues reward 1440 Dilithium upon successful completion.
Private PvE queues now scale to level 60.

Solo SB24 might end up a decent way to grind.

quote:

Increased Dilithium rewards by 50% in Adventure Zones and Battle Zones.
For an example, if the Dilithium reward for an Adventure Zone mission was 10, it will now be 15.

quote:

Space NPC ships level 50-60 have had their Hit Points reduced.
This change affects Space NPC ships in Normal and Advanced modes.
Hit Points have not been altered for NPCs in Elite mode.

People say that it's a 26% reduction of hitpoints in both normal and advanced.

Cryptic must have noticed something was wrong. They've announced plans to lower the HP of normal/advanced mobs, increasing dil rewards and normalizing mark payouts, possible changes to the hard-fail conditions of advanced STFs, and making starship mastery gains faster. Exactly. One of the posters in the thread is reporting that XP for ship kills has increased on tribble also - to almost double what it is on holodeck. And yet still lower than it was before the XP nerf.

FrostyJones

Assuming an Infected Space run: 120 less on Normal. 240 less on Advanced. 480 more on Elite. Marks have evened out. It's not perfect, but it's a happy medium. STFs should never be a primary source of dilithium anyways.

Yes and no. They"ll be a lot easier to complete, yes, but the hard fail conditions remain so I can't see a big population rebound except in ones that already have easy optionals.
