I used the keyboard exclusively in the original and platinum'd it. But in Rebirth charge items seem very bugged, they fire randomly without me releasing the button. So I took the plunge and tried a controller. Didn't take long at all to get used to it and it feels much smoother. Only thing that seems worse is I can't change my firing direction as easily (and with brimstone, preserve the charge in the process). That will come with practice I guess. Got Tammy's Head on Azazel that run and it was as glorious as expected.

After struggling with When Life...I tried the Tank challenge, got a bunch of battery items and the Item Martyr thing on my first run and welp. Thanks for basically giving me "Maggie's Favorite Toys", I suppose.

What the hell is the unlock for the cellar? I'd been through the basement like 100 times without getting it, and then I randomly got it in the middle of the boss rush. I had thought it was killing all the basement bosses but I didn't think the boss rush bosses counted for things like that, plus it was the third or fourth time I'd done the rush so there is no way I didn't kill whatever, plus I really don't think I could've missed any bosses after that many times.

I unlocked Necropolis by killing the Cage in Sheoul, because the only Depths boss I ever get is Loki. The boss rush doesn't have every single boss, especially some of the newer ones, but I don't remember what.

The Boss Rush only consists of the old Isaac bosses. I've heard that the cellar unlock is bugged in that you have to kill Gemini in two different ways to unlock it. Once by killing the floating baby first, and once by killing the walking guy first. Maybe that's what happened?

How is an 8 character seeds enough to be able to do every single possible game permutation? With random generation you would think there is an almost infinite number of games.

Also, the seeds don't give you every possible permutation of items etc - just the ones the random number generator could conceivably spit out.

Guppy's head + brimstone is amazingly unfair to use. Go into a room, hit space, everything dies. Everything did not die here right away because of the enemy type, but still. One shot every boss.

Well that was one of the hardest runs that I've managed to beat Mom's Heart with so far, played as Eve and got two dmg ups during the entire run. Luckily, got Ludovico Technique on Necropolis 1, and it carried me pretty hard. My defenses were good with two flies and a meat cube, all of them giant sized thanks to the last shop giving that "big friends"-thing, whatever it was. Never had a problem with consumables at least, thanks to a huge amount of Luck up pills I got during the run.

How does health regeneration work with the placenta? Is it just time based? Like if I stand still in a room for a while will I eventually fill up my hearts?

Or it's just a personal perspective of the flow of time while playing video game that makes it feel inconsistent.

Anyone know which item creates a wormhole which then discharges the attack? I got it with Brimstone and the bosses just melted because you can keep moving and create several of them and it will always attack for the full duration.
