So I just unlocked the Lost through the method posted in the Reddit puzzle piece thread.

For the record I:

1. Restarted as Isaac until I got a big room with mullibooms next to the starting room.
2. Bombed myself as Maggy in the first room of Caves 1.
3. Got killed by Moms foot in the Depths mom fight as Judas.
4. Got killed by Satan when he flies around and shoots lasers and bullets as Azael.

I did no restarts after getting killed by a Mulliboom, and I didn't die(before I had to) in any of the runs.

Had one of the best runs to Mom as Judas I've ever had too, heh.

If you're on the PC press left control.

I unlocked the Lost about an hour ago, and had to restart once as Azealwhatever, but it took. It seems to work as long as you die in the right way, in the right sequence, with restarting being fine if you have to do so to avoid dying.

Is there a list of all various character item unlocks, ie: Beating Satan with Isaac unlocks Moms Knife?

Also, for unlocking The Lost, do you need to have beaten Mega Satan/Have the Missing Poster, or do you just need to do the death sequence stuff?

Am I just rusty after having been on Isaac break for a year or two, because Rebirth's enemies seem *much better* at leading their shots than I remember. But Rebirth has given me a reason to start dumping hours into Isaac again and it's been amazing, if not just for some of the crazy poo poo the game does now. Some other specific notes/questions I have:

It seems like Infamy blocks only shots that are coming pretty much in from *perfectly* the angle Isaac is facing and that any sort of angle to them will bypass it?

In the original game you could kind of force building a complete Meat Boy by carrying around the Book of Revelations to force Horsemen to spawn. Is there something similar for getting Bandage Girl? Because I notice the starting Bandage Ball also appears to be on Horseman loot tables now.

How do some of the more obscure weapon/tear item buff interactions work(quad shot + technology 2?) Is it just a wash, or does it actually increase damage output?

Meanwhile, however, Azazel is goddamn OP as hell and fantastic fun to boot. He's probably also the only way to make Tiny Planet actually useful without already having Brimstone/Technology - since it turns his basic attack into a 360-degree

Edit: One other weird thing I can't quite find documentation on: What does the upper-left page with the symbols mean on the Character Select screen? I suspect it's endings-gotten, but I'm not sure how to decipher it.

The symbols correspond to boss kills. A heart for Mom's heart (duh) a star for boss rush I think? And a few others in the same vein.

For the challenge that is "Computer Savvy" has anyone else run into some problems with getting damage pick ups? Whenever I try that challenge and I pick up something like Meat it reduces my damage on the pause screen, and I definitely don't feel like I'm doing any more damage.

This run with Samson was way too fun. Got to the boss rush for the first time and absolutely slaughtered it. My Reflection and Anti-Grav tears is the best, it literally just gives you the bubble gun from cave story.

As far as I can tell once the bar is fully empty you have about a second of invincibility before the item starts hurting you (you can release spacebar before this happens to avoid the damage). Once you've used this invincibility you have to wait for it to recharge fully before you can start suffocating yourself again.

Cobalt spent literally thousands of hours playing the original game. Dude's not going to get sick of playing the new game, especially when he keeps making a bunch of money off of it.

I've had the same issue, minus the hangover part today. I can get demon begger and more spirit hearts than I know what to do with on any other character but goddamn it blue baby just keeps loving me over every time :argh:

Did the challenge where you have a single huge piercing tear and you can only fire one at a time. I thought it was a slog to get through but not all that bad. Got to the boss rush with it and "hey why not."

Then forgot that you don't get anything for beating the boss rush rooms during challenges :downs:

Oh, I'm sure he's not in the long run. In the short run the fact that due to his challenge he's unable to step back and take a break with other games and playing extra hours each day probably means he's going to have at least a little short-term burnout.

I used VDays advice and just kept restarting until I got a celler floor with a 2x2 room next to the starting room, since they seem to be most commonly found there.

Still took about 5-10 minutes, though.

Did you know Brimstone works with sheilding tears? I also really like how the limit for how many attack flies you can take between rooms has seriously increased, it makes guppy's head and cat mode that much better.

Keep killing the heart. Sometimes you'll get lucky and Satan will open his door after the fight and you can go down there too. Once you kill the heart 10(?) or so times, two paths will open up from there permanently. (Unless they changed it in this one, which it doesn't sound like they did?)
