He has always had terrible hats. I love the class and the character and so many of the miscs, but Scout has some of the worst hats in the game, probably only competing with Pyro as the other comic relief class.

Who uses the phrase "comic relief" as a pejorative in the context of Team loving Fortress 2? Relief from what exactly? The entire game is a comedy cartoon.

I don't think I can even say that any class actually has good hats since I'm mostly concerned with who has the best coats or torso items that change their look up enough. Like the Bushi-Dou or Colonel's Coat. Hell, most of the 'hat' items I use most don't even have hats on them like Your Worst Nightmare or Spook Specs.

Spies do kinda have the worst hats. Scouts have good stuff though. Can't say no to the whoopee cap and tosslecap! Demoman though, he's got the best hats.

i've set up two really good outfits for my spy: one has the ballroom mask, fancy powdered wig dyed brown, and that fancy promo coat that came with the medic coat which i got both of for some mysterious reason even though i only bought another game in that deal for the demo cape. the other is just ellis's cap, the open suit jacket misc, and the license to maim badge so he looks like some casual inspector being dragged out to the boonies to investigate mysterious happenings. of course, they're spy outfits, so it requires me to actually play spy and even then i'll be invisible half the time or in disguise.

That's the tragedy of Spy. No one gets to see your fancy duds unless you're dead. It makes that "Well Dressed Cadaver" magazine from Expiration Date the Spy is reading all the more fitting

Wearing ridiculous hats as a Spy makes up for the "usually invisible" part for me. Nothing better for a slain foe to finally glimpse their murderer wearing a fake beard, cartoon dog hat and Pyrovision Goggles.

i guess i could show off my spy outfits more by going battlespy and working on ambassador headshots or going rambo with the enforcer, but i never want to be the 4th spy on my team so it's the eternal conundrum.

If I have a spray image set in tf2 that I think is there through steam cloud magic, is there any way to get the file back onto my hard drive in a usuable image format? All the files I find where sprays should be kept are vtfs and vtms.

I'll never get why the Spy obscures all decorative items when disguised. Suits and badges wouldn't clip with the facemask, but it still won't show those either. I really wish they'd do something about that, it's a little sad that allies will never see my duds except for possibly the .5 seconds I spend in spawn before disguising or if they stumble across my corpse. At least I assume a dead disguised Spy's miscs show up. It wouldn't surprise me if it didn't, though.

I mean, it is helpful on occasion to have it really obvious that your teammate spy is currently disguised. Especially in dumb pubbie games, where the disguise is actually good for more than sentry-proofing, it's nice not to heal your disguised teammate within view of the enemy, at the very least.

All the classes have some silly hats and Scout has a couple non-silly things that aren't awful but in general he spends all his available cool points on the misc slot.

I dunno, The scout looks pretty good in a lot of the all class hats, Bill's Beret, Graybanns. He has the hockey mask if you play on any halloween enabled servers. I also really like the El Jefe. Of course if there were a poop hat I'd wear that.
