Reminder: Whatever shows up in your ps4 download list is not the game downloading. When that's done it actually starts the download. Highlight the game tile, hit Options button on your controller, then on the menu that comes up on the right, hit Information. I remember a video about rally cars and how rally car drivers are able to complete their stages with the hood up (from damage, etc.) because they sit so low that they can see through the gap.
