My parents had a Chris Craft Capri when I was growing up and every year from 8th grade to my senior year in high school I had the pleasure of scraping/sanding/filling screw holes/refinishing the bottom. All I see there is a maintenance nightmare gently caress wood boats in their sorry asses. That boat alone turned me off of ever wanting to own a boat in my life.

Honestly my favorite part of the video was the giant gear indicator. Is that a rally thing or a ken block thing?

Not talking down your (awesome imo) childhood, but you deff hire highly paid and highly skilled craftsman to look after that boat...

How do they arrange to block off the highways and stuff like that? Also, do the producers promise to clean up the tire marks left all over the city afterward? This seems logistically difficult to do, is what I'm saying. Also the driving isn't easy I guess.

The cops come from the city to close the roads for whatever the set amount of time. LA is film friendly, just takes money.

Look I know box flares are cool and all but just because someone slapped a set on the side of a Dodge Omni doesn't instantly make it cool. I do like how well they managed to integrate the old Daewoo logo into the grille though, looks almost like it came that way.

My grandparents had a fiberglass cabin cruiser, which wasn't so bad maintenance wise, just had to scrape and paint the hull every year but at the marina their boat was hosed at there were a few pretty big cris crafts and the amount of money/time those things take to keep in shape is ridiculous. Would never own a wooden boat unless I was a millionaire.
