I do wish the Black Lotus item was more attuned to what it did in the MTG game (gave you 3 mana of any color at the drop of a hat), in that it was like Battery's big brother where your held item cold hold three charges. I'd also love to see other MTG-items that would have Isaac look at the various Planeswalkers (Jace's hood, Chandra's goggles, Garruk's Helmet, etc.) I like Magic.

Probably an urban legend though. Anyway, early magic cards were horribly unbalanced.

Another cool things that's added in rebirth are how hearts and masks work. They're still terrible, but if you hit one piece with a status effect, both will be effected. If you slow a heart, the corresponding mask slows down too, etc.

I just saw the weirdest things today in a stream. Guy was doing a breaking run and had sharp plug, scap, and undefined. Sitting around on chest just doing it over and over again trying to figure out why items were randomly showing up in IAMERROR room after pretty much every pool was exhausted. Randomly when Undefined was proced, he landed in a Black Market which didn't make ANY sense.

I played Magic with friends back in middle school. Those cards like Chaos Confetti were from a joke set called "Unglued" that had all sorts of silly stuff and weren't considered "real" cards. Another thing in there was something called "BFM" I think which was a 99/99 power card that had two cards to it.

Just unlocked GODHEAD!!! Miraculously made it to and cleared boss rush mode with Epic Fetus. Thanks to an Algiz rune I had I was able to fight the last four enemies while invulnerable, probably saved me from getting picked off by those scythes that come off the screen out of nowhere. Now all that's left is to get these pesky items to show up. Steven, Lotus, Godhead, Mind, Soul, Stopwatch, the stupid Dollar, 1-up, D-100, the pill jar(which i just never bought on the regular game), and Mystery Sack. This might be a little annoying.

Ashnod's Coupon is also part of a theoretical combo to force someone to give you their life savings. It involved another card from the joke sets that told you to play cards as they were written and ignore any errata. I really liked those sets. I felt pretty cocky when I found a die room on the Suicide King challenge and rerolled my build, but I still screwed up and died in the Womb, I think. I started again and found Pyromaniac in Basement 2. I cackled.

PyromanICAC was fun while it lasted. This is the first time I've actually found Ipecac, and on Azazel it doesn't add anything other than poison. Then I died during the Boss Rush and came back thanks to Lazarus's Rags, and then it was grenade launcher time. Anyone know what happens if you die with non-Lazarus extra lives during the boss rush?

So, does anyone know what causes Breakfast to show up as a devil deal item? How about replace every devil deal item? I just got a devil room with two breakfasts for one heart each and a breakfast in a red chest. What

I did not expect my first non-Azazel successful boss rush would be Maggie of all characters. Homing Knife is a hell of a thing as instead of flying through bosses it tends to stick to them doing ludicrous amounts of damage. Having Lil Haunt and the bird claw didn't hurt one bit. I had that earlier and on one hand it seems nice if you can get a few range ups, after all it gives both Spectral and Piercing. Then you realize that your shots move about the pace of a grandma with a walker. Even once I got the damage to shoot across the room with my huge mega-piercing tiers, Maggy was able to move at the same speed as them. The initial range down is utterly brutal too.

Got the D100 with the Lost. Roll an amazing build that, on top of that, has a Dead Cat. Score! Then I died to Satan. And respawned as Lazarus. Because I had rolled myself Lazarus' Rags and had no way to tell it. And the game saves after you die. I wanna cry now. I feel so cheated. Turns out not everything is reset when you continue. For example, Donation machines will actually still track your progress so you can actually cheese those if you have the money. I'm guessing something similar happened to the item pool.
