Came across a review of this bunch called Flight of Sleipnir. They were described as a stoner/doom version of Agalloch, and I find that pretty fitting. Definitely getting an Agalloch/Falls of Rauros vibe, but with added stoner fuzz. Digging this stuff. Too bad about the production though, all the sounds are in the center so it's lacking a sense of space that would do lots of good to stuff like this. https://soundcloud.com/napalmrecords/the-flight-of-sleipnir-the-casting

Apparently Angra has a new album coming out at the start of next year with Fabio Lione on vocals. The tracks that are floating around are kind of bland though. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0wIqIRK5ynM

I found it and Redemption to be really boring. Musically plodding with few interesting riffs and the vocals are just super wordy, if that makes sense - they don't seem to fit in the songs. By contrast, Nameless Dead is one of my absolute favorite recent-ish metal albums (gently caress, that was 7 years ago?) with a ton of memorable moments.

I doubt we'll get another Temple of Shadows or Aurora Consurgens out of them, but it'll be a step in the right direction since I found Aqua to be super bland.

Really not feeling the vocals or the lyrics. Or that...bee. Thing. But always nice to hear the sort of guitar work that kicks in around halfway.

Got the LP of Dresden`s "Too Many Skeletons" in the mail yesterday and figured there might be some people here which could be interested in this. Dresden were a Thrash Metal band hailing from Bridgeport, Connecticut. In 1986 they released their only album "Too many Skeletons" (which included an awesome coverversion of "Sound of Silence") and disbanded shortly after. If you are into somewhat obscure 80s Thrash Metal with a slightly punkish touch, you might want to check this Album out! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BZTyqqCTvWM
