Had a weird glitch occur where after liberating an outpost, I wasn't able to pick up any plants and no longer able to loot chests. I could activate the animation for cutting the planets, and open the chests themselves, but I wouldn't get any of the leaves or loot from either. Additionally, I found that I could spend experience points to unlock level-up perks… but the perk itself wouldn't unlock (it would remain grayed out). I died, and the issue with the looting seemed to fix itself, but the experience points thing is still bugged.

So, uh. That sucks. I guess I'm happy I unlocked all of the tiger stuff before this happened, but It looks like I'll be locked out of completing the elephant side if this sticks.

^^^ Seems as though random bits of "progress meters" of any flavor, might just bug the gently caress out at whim. I tossed out one save game at 60% completion because I couldn't get the game to admit that I had 8 karma, and not 3... :smith: Maybe the solution will be "kill the game ASAP as soon as you notice anything weird - and hope that it didn't start up an hour or six previous!"

I loved that the arena mission woman says stuff like "hey - look up here - at my face!" to you. I sat there a few times trying to figure out if it was scripted to happen if I was staring at her body without face or not and couldn't get it to do anything, but it was funny as poo poo the first time I encountered it, since I generally run around aiming at sternum-level in most fps games, as a body shot is easiest. :D

I agree, but they aren't exactly all over the place, so if you don't go out of your way to find them constantly, it's not really a big part of the game. Definitely a blast to fool around with and to unlock the bell towers though.

Yeah, if you do a hard landing on an incline you will probably rock or full-on roll it over on yourself, it's pretty common to get nicked as I get out, if I exit on the uphill side. Don't land in ankle-deep water, you won't be able to start the buzzer again and it won't let you push it out of the water without a boat or hovercraft.

Also, free buzzer always spawns directly outside and uphill from the Kyra Bazaar which you'll find very quickly if you do the first couple of campaign missions. Also when you find your parents' old house, you can upgrade it to become a base, and install a personal helipad with a respawning buzzer. :)

Questions about this Arena thing:

1) I have the Arena app, linked to my UPlay account. I hit level 10, but it doesn't unlock the gun in-game. I've logged out and in of UPlay in the app and the game on my PS4, but it still doesn't seem to "sync." Is this a common problem with a common fix?

2) There's also some sort of Arena in the game itself? I've already gone to it the first time, but then I never saw any mission icon to go back to it, so I kept doing campaign missions, but now the Arena lady is dead...did I somehow lock myself out of doing the in-game Arena?

You need to go into the arena for one round before it will update. You don't need to win, you can just go in, immediately die, and it should update. Have you done that yet? A few people ITT have had similar posts. The stats between the app and the game update nearly-instantly between both, otherwise.

The place you killed Noore (the arena lady) was the arena. You can fast-travel there at any time, look for the mission icon that looks like a little pixelated "archway" (it kinda looked like the top of a south american pyramid to me). The mission-giver is also pretty recognizable as she's the only topless NPC in the game that I'm aware of (outside of the twins in the cutscene introducing Noore). She's standing on the upper area, if you fast-travel, turn left and go up the stairs as soon as you leave the room you load into, she'll be near the front doors.

You're sure that you've got an active mission which would have a waypoint? What happens when you shoot a courier to death or something - does it give you the marker on the body?

It seems like it'd be almost impossible to get any missions done without the yellow objective markers, I hope you can figure it out.. Maybe try making a new game in a different slot and see what happens?

No I think he was just being really stupid. He tends to do poo poo like that, assume he can't do things just because it didn't work the first time because he did it wrong.

I tried to double check with him, like "are you sure dude? You should be able to" but he was adamant about it so I assumed you couldn't in co-op since I couldn't either. But he's always been the host.

I'm gonna host the next match and then give him some :colbert:

Edit: Okay he says you have to do something to unlock fast travel, which I don't remember because I've had fast travel forever. It must be something simple like "capture the first immediate outpost" or something, and he must have skipped it while I didn't.

I like you you can sneak in through a well in fortresses. It's fun to attack silently from both sides in co-op, with one guy silently sniping the towers clear and the other player crawling around shanking people and hiding their bodies.

You don't have to unlock anything that I'm aware of - any outpost and most of the "cities" which involve the campaign can be fast-traveled to. If there are too many mission icons cluttering the screen then it can be tough to select the "circle with two rightward-pointing arrows" icon though. Perhaps he's just trying to flat fast-travel to random spots, rather than hardpoints? :crossarms:

They're pretty easy to take out as they fly away if you don't freak out when they grab you. Also if you keep moving, you'll almost never get hosed with by them. Stop, and they'll nail you just for kicks. They don't seem to like dive-bombing in thick tree cover as often either.

Did you do stealth last time? Now go in like rambo with a machinegun firing. "Call your drat reinforcements, see if I give a poo poo!"

I dunno about you but personally I had more fun in farcry 4 after I beat the game, started a new game, hacked out the weapon requirements and turned off the radar, turned up the difficulty, and then just went around killing dudes as I saw fit.
