I didn't think it was possible to make a movie even furrier than the one where they stop nuclear war by having their fursonas punch the internet really hard and then beat it at videogames. And yet :furcry:

Yeah, Mamoru Hosoda, who directed that, also directed the Digimon Movie - which was actually two movies stapled together for American release.

The cast seems kind of... garish, for standard Statham fare. I know nothing about this movie, but I assume it might be more of an action comedy.

I dunno, Stanley Tucci is a level or two above Statham.

corn in the bible as one of the most prolific posters in the old GBS webcomics threads I'm surprised that that poster didn't immediately make you think of those human+beastman webcomics from Japan that were a regular fixture in that thread for awhile.

I like the dude's movies, it's just that as somebody who spends way too much time mocking internet culture I'm amused at how his last three movies (Summer Wars, Wolf Children, and now The Boy and the Beast) all have premises that sound like they would be the basis of terrible wish-fulfillment internet comics in the wrong hands.

Love those posters BTW.

The other ones are at least redrawn. The Sinestro one looks like someone just messed around with the colors. (Also SInestro isn't a robot.)

The Sinestro poster might not be "re"drawn but at the very least they drew over top of the Westworld poster.

The original for comparison:

The brush strokes are different so it's just just a recolor, the robot face in the Sinestro version looks like the one in the movie but not the one in the poster, and there are elements taken out or added in.
