I think this is legitimately the first time I'm "offended" by something on the internet. Is that your own screenshot? It's not on their Facebook anymore. Edit: thinking about it, if a leftist comedian had made this, it maybe almost could have worked as (albeit tasteless, and blind to history) criticism of the living conditions of asylum seekers.

The interview is hilarious. "Am I a pedophile? Maybe you're gay, or straight, and that's nobody's business. Whether I'm a pedophile is nobody's business either. Maybe you're a pedophile!"

It's always going to end badly for you, even if you weren't just caught ordering child porn from the internet. But especially if you were. Good riddance, you idiot. I find it beyond hilarious that he got tipped off, managed to sanitize his apartment before a raid, had obscene amounts of time to prepare a response and/or legal defense and "Whether I'm a pedophile or not ain't nunya bidness" is what he came up with.

Please keep in mind that this is one of the few times where the blatant abuse of power by politicians becomes visible. I bet there is a ton of this poo poo going on out of the view of the public.

Holy poo poo, didn't know Reddit had a Bundestagsabgeordneter.

He's obviously a lovely person, but when this whole thing came to light there were several articles which speculated about the material he purchased, and that it might have been legal. The Bundestag passed more stringent child porn laws and criminalized pics that weren't illegal before after this came out. Are we sure he's not right, that what he did wasn't illegal at the time?
|
# ? Dec 19, 2014 15:42 |

Well, we don't know about everything he did. But what we know he did wasn't illegal. But just because something is not illegal doesn't mean it's right and ok to do it.

Pretty much. With his approach of adressing the nation by saying what amounts to "Uh, okay, so buying films of children in bathing suits is probably dumb, but it's not illegal, come at me.", I'd assume he's fairly convinced of his legal point and wouldn't be surprised at all if the charges somehow went away. However, the guy jerked his gherkin to pictures of children, and all but admitted to doing so...so no matter how illegal the poo poo he ordered was, gently caress that dude and I'm happy he thought it would be a great idea to admit to it on national television.

Just something from me: I think we should call AFD, HOGESA, PEGIDA and other such things reactionaries (or fascists) but not conservatives. I am not a conservative by any definition of the word, but conservative thought (if you go back to f.e. Burke) has some meaningfull things to say about mankind. The AFD does not.

The left always liked to repeat that the private is political. So I guess we shouldn't be surprised that the political depravity of SPD membership influences the private area and causes depravity there as well. That being said, most stuff I've read about it agrees with Edathy's technical pedantery that he didn't break any criminal laws and was therefore marginally smarter than other SPD politicians, e.g. Jörg Tauss.

Our dear Lucy has always been a bit bloodthirsty. On that topic, "gently caress you got mine" is pretty drat prevalent, and our business world arguably confers advantadges to people with a rather low level of emotional empathy/conscience ( I would argue that a military at actual war is even more sociopathy encouraging). As long as other leadership models still work, the sociopaths can be kept from running everything. In addition, sociopaths dont get along with each other very well.
