I decided to try out the newest nightly again, and there's a cool new feature - a paint gun that lets you paint blocks in different colours. It's actually neat and fun so I assume before unstable comes out they'll gimp it somehow, like requiring different ores to give you colours and using energy. I am also pretty impressed by how annoying the quest progression is. It's even a pain in the rear end to cheat through the quests, I cheated them out of order and it broke the quest line, upgraded my FTL before getting the quest for it and then I was stuck. Cheated up tier 10 novakid armor, maybe I did it wrong but the result is I have 135 energy but various tier 10 guns use 150-200+ energy per shot, so I get to shoot once and then wait the 5 seconds or whatever to recharge. Man it's fun. Wait another year. This has been a public service announcement.

So this game was actually better a year ago when we had goon server full of cool poo poo I guess. I didn't think chuckle fish would use their cash reserves to ruin a mediocre game I was reasonably pleased with.
