I don't see them a lot, but I remember them being roughly turkey-shaped and have colorful feathers. This bird's not that colorful, but there's a certain 'sheen' to the feathers) I am kinda siding with the bird here. If it's the bird I'm thinking of, it's the Norwegian version of a Pheasant (or at least serves the same role as a 'bird that's chased out of bushes by dogs, then shot')

Yeah, you're probably right. He probably set that up, took a couple of pictures, then shaved the moustache completely off and did whatever with his hair. I was just imagining him looking like that for a few days or longer. Still pleasing that he's suffering the misfortune of some awkward public attention and loss of status over it.
