Pretty much. I imagine we'll see some sort of change to it eventually, but I can't imagine it being more complex than "your loadout saves your ground and space traits separately and swaps between automatically (with hilarious bugs that result)" or "gently caress it here's a separate list for ground and space". And even that would be sometime next year.

Also, the Vaadwaur lockbox ships.  http://www.arcgames.com/en/games/star-trek-online/news/detail/9064783-vaadwaur-lockbox-and-lobi-ships Objectively speaking, the escort is probably the winner of the two here. 5/2 with 18 turn and crazy good impulse mod/inertia? The average players of this game will be all over that. The battlecruiser is a lot more standard... pretty unexceptional but perfectly functional boff/console layout for one of those. It's 5/3 and has enough potential tac slots to use cannons fine, but has 6.5 turn so is still a pokey space brick. The trait is still amazing though. Really, the only real issue is the 2 science consoles on both ships since the current DPS metagame encourages loading up on embassy consoles, but that probably won't last forever so hey. They're going to release more and more power-creepy P2W until you can finally just buy the ships with the abilities you need to pass the content. I admit some of the frustration was the dawning realization that the Kobali cruiser wasn't the "flagship" introduction to the command spec mechanic (like the dyson ship was for the secondary deflectors) but instead is just a hybrid variant that lets you use a few boff powers I guess. PWE won't even give away that much it seems despite the whole new spec and the bridge officer changes to highlight it, no, you're going to have to buy the drat things whenever they hit the c-store.

Don't forget, Cryptic's de facto raised the price of ships too. All T6 boats are $30, not $25, and you don't even get the dignity of getting a fleet-level ship for the effort. So this is basically the new price forever, since there's no real chance we'll be seeing T5 ships for sale again, event prices or lockbox booby prizes aside.

In case anyone still at work is curious, there are 2 mini-games for the anniversary, the mini-q one that's been done before, and the new particle stabilization one. Both are bugged currently. The new mission is the one which you need to grind daily for the new ship, and it's basically impossible to complete.

If you want to easily piss off a lot of people just hang around any area the new lovely omega particle minigame is popping up in, wait for someone to interact with one and then run up and interact it after them. They won't be able to finish their turn and will get zero rewards. They'll then bitch and moan in zone about your queue jumping and how they've been doing this for hours you loving troll etc. Have fun!
