A friend just started playing, and she started the tower event and is now number 6 in her bracket overall with about 18000 points. Should I be staying these events a few days after they begin, or is this because she started with all 1* heroes? #1 in my bracket has 120k points

Hey is there more progression to this game yet beyond the weekly events? I remember playing for awhile and enjoying it but eventually getting bored when I realized that after 'chapter 1' or whatever it was called there was nothing to do but wait for events.

Events start new brackets as old ones fill, so if you don't want to play daily for all 5 days, yes, don't enter at all until later to have a chance at prizes. You can also go here and look for the current event's bracket thread to make sure you aren't about to join an old bracket that hasn't filled, since that'll make it impossible to catch up. Joining late for easier brackets has gotten tougher since the end times were sliced up. Each slice has multiple brackets so a fresh bracket that youre eligible to enter may never open up after the first few brackets fill up towards the beginning. I know I've waited various times to enter after the first day and quite often those brackets are stale and never completely fill up before the event end.

Sad about the Thors, because I just need 2 yellows and of course that's the top reward. But it usually means he'll be in PvP soon. Hopefully not the top there too. Oh, and new slots are now going for 800HP, which is lovely. I've got 1600, so good for now, but it's getting scary. I had over 3000 built up a week ago, but then random luck gave me my first Fury and 4* Thor. I've made it this far without ever dropping a character and only a single $20 purchase in my second week, but if we see 3 new characters in the next couple months, it might be time to say goodbye to a few 1 and 2 stars. I've been playing this game for a week now. I've got seven roster spots and the next chance to buy more costs 400 HP. Is there any better way to get HP (aside from spending money which I refuse to do on this dumb game) aside from grinding the small number of missions that give it to you? On that note, does anyone have any suggestions for beating the From Russia mission in the Venom chapter? I managed to do it exactly once through sheer luck, but most of the time Yelena's thugs gun me down almost without effort.

For new players, hero points will mostly come from daily rewards and a few select missions in the storyline. You should also be able to jump into PVE events pretty easily, and score surprisingly well (and thus more HP) because you'll face far easier opponents than the majority of the playerbase since PVE scales with your roster's level.

So explain something to me fellow marvel puzzle gons. I had played this game since release but took like a 6 month break when they decided to start nerfing the poo poo out of everything I got pissed and walked away about the time the hulk events started to show up. Anyway Im back now and just cant wrap my head around something. So I was grinding out the last event, the one with squirrel girl, I was top10 consistently, usually hovering around 2-3. But the last day this dude comes up out of nowhere and gets like 10,000 points within a few hours. So Im like drat, this dude must be loaded with high level covers. So i click on his name and see that hes got garbage. A bunch of lv 40 and less characters,like 12 of them, most with one or two covers each, total newb. I have not played in 6 months and I had better and more leveled up and covered characters. So how the gently caress is this guy scoring ~10K points within a few hours? Something smells fishy here. I could not even touch him in the main event. I think he had like 12K points more than #2. Now I know you can spend money to buy heal packs and keep grinding, but even then it does not add up. Because the point scoring has diminishing returns when grinding. and I was grinding my rear end off. Usually consistently clearing the board 2-3x every couple of hours or at least the higher point battles. Anyway I did manage to score the 3 different color squirrel girl covers, I think I ended up being #6 overall so all is good but it just bugs me how this dude did this. Is there some cheats going on? So where you get level 200ish enemies, a new player will get level 20s and smash through them. Their characters also heal much faster because they're lower level. Finally people who are out of the top 10 or so will get a scaling point bonus for every mission they do.

Destroy a row when a tile is about to go off, and his crit power is awesome if you can level it up. Storm and Jugs can maybe help get rid of countdowns, too, and BW's stun well help against stronger enemies

When I first started out, I used Iron Man, Storm, Widow. It was a good combination of damage, Tile Clearing, and utility like stuns or stealing AP. Black Widow's multiple turn stun was very good in making sure that juggernaut was never moving again.

This new PvP is going to be ridiculous with Blade, Elektra and Squirrel covers involved, PLUS double ISO. I guess that works out in my favor though, since mostly I'm way behind on making it to the season pack in time. Would have liked some easier Blades though.

Somehow got into the Groot PvP with 35 minutes to spare and got Top 49. I was really happy until I realized that Top 50 and Top 100 both give the same amount of covers, and that I could have just stopped way earlier. Still, at least I now have a Squirrel Girl I'll never use, and I'm like 400 points away from my free 10 Heroic pulls that'll net me 9 2*s and a dupe 3*. Also, my PvE event had like 139 people when I checked like 12 hours ago, which is surprising since I joined like 2 days ago. Maybe I will get 2 Lazy!Thor covers.

Jesus, now it's another 4-star. Way back at 4-Thor I was suspecting that they were angling to make 3-star become nothing more than a transitional period to 4 star, and it seems that's really coming true. Best of all, it's only for top 50, so the next PvE is gonna be a pain without it. Not even gonna happen for me unless I wait to join until a fresh bracket near the end. I'd rather have that yellow Thor progression reward, which I desperately need to fix my 5/3/5. Wonder how late I could join to get 60k, I have no memory of how high scores run in specific PvEs.

This game used to be rather fun but since I started to ascend past my 2 star team it feels really dull and nothing I ever do has any meaningful impact on my roster besides giving me another single cover for a three star I will never finish.

Decent haul on my 10 Heroic Pulls. 5 3*s, and only 2 were dupes. Got to skill up my Blade, Mystique, and Gamora. Hood Blue and Patch Red were cashed in for ISO. Much better than last season's pulls, for sure.

You should still make the progression easily if you join late as long as they haven't changed it too much.

Kinda unrelated, but I've been checking out Gems of War and it seems much friendlier than MPQ. Plus it's made from the original PQ devs. Might be a good pick for people who are a bit tired of MPQ (like I was)
