LAST WEEK ON TOONAMI: DBZ Kai: Chiaotzu dies, Tien dies, Krillin's hosed, Vegeta gives three hours for Goku to come. Kill la Kill: Ryuko Matoi transfers to Honnouji Academy, a school completely run by its student council and their powerful Goku Uniforms, in order to find out who killed her father. Suspecting the president, Satsuki Kiriyuin, she promptly gets her rear end kicked. Retreating to her father's house, she stumbled upon a sailor uniform that begs her for blood. The thing turns into a super powerful but very skimpy battle suit that helps her kick rear end. Gurren Lagann: Yoko's time as a teacher outside of Kamina City is shown and the Antispiral crisis brings her back. Everybody goes into space and the anime starts getting good again this week. One Piece: Finding themselves handcuffed after Kaku's man beast enhanced Tempest Kick damaged the Tower of Law, Zoro and Usopp learn that each of the keys are numbered. But as neither Kaku nor Jabura have the key needed to free their prey from their seastone handcuffs, the two CP9 members are forced to resume the fight. Chopper arrives at that time and is sent off to obtain the Number 2 key from one of the other assassins. Chopper comes across Nami as she attempted to flee Kumadori after stealing the Number 3 key, knocking the CP9 operative out. Soon after, Nami and Chopper find a round and glossy Sanji hitting the ground from a few floors up. After Nami realizes his opponent was Kalifa, Sanji admits to have did his best in trying to get her key but could not bring himself to harm a woman. I'd ask why this thread is 90% Toonami talk when hardly anybody thinks the block is good, but I know that the answer is that people on the internet love talking about things that they hate. Since I don't concern myself with stuff I don't like, I'm wondering if they're gonna make new China IL and Aqua I-Have-No-Idea-What-They're-Calling-It-Now.

It still tended to lose viewers from its leadins. I feel it became a "breakout" for Toonami because that's what Toonami and such wanted it to be and because it has a vocal contingent of fans (like Inuyasha) who oversell the demand for it, when the truth is it just didn't do all that loving much and that's clearly present in the ratings.
