Doesn't mean it's irreparable, just means the insurance people won't pay, and with a commercial plane that most likely means it'll get scrapped. I guess that because commercial aviation tolerances are very fine, and repairs are very expensive. But as noted, I'm guessing anyway. I'm not remotely an expert, and I'd happily defer to someone who knows more.
