Wonder if they'll allow you to sync' with a single amiibo you already own, so you don't have to take a figurine with you if you travel at all, or if they'll be a unique file.

They'll probably be unique files. NFC chips have a pathetically tiny amount of space as is.

Are downloads from the eStore supposed to take a year and then some? Grabbing Mario Kart 7 over the office wifi and either this game is like 9 gigs or there's something wrong here. It's been 10 minutes and it's only 1/10th done. I'm on the same wifi and it's fine.

Yeah, I had to re-download MH4U (a fairly big game) and the New handled it pretty quick.

Is Monster Hunter worth getting if you're probably only going to play it single player?

to make up for the lack of other players, in singleplayer you can recruit and outfit friendly kitties to hunt monsters with, and you can set up their equipment to modify their AI and so on to tailor them for your playstyle. so it's still good.

Wait...does that mean the Animal Crossing DLC is actually about Isabelle killing monsters? Or is there a difference between the fighting kitties and whichever one the DLC replaces.

Do the DS flash carts that happened to work on the 3DS (basically the DSTWO and the R4i 3DS RTS) still work on the New 3DS? I am right in the middle of Metal Gear Solid for GBC.

Vrooooooooom!
Can someone give me some as spoiler-free help as possible for Majora's Mask? (I have no idea how I didn't play this when it was first released.) So I've got the Bomber's Notebook and have filled it up with people who I've met and it shows a timeline for each of them, but how do I get the game to populate those timelines with events I can do? Presumably, for each person in your Bomber's Notebook you will have subsequent mini-quests to do for them at a specific time on a specific day... But how do you figure that out? I just finished the swamp temple and the game is telling me to head to the mountain temple but I feel like I'm missing a ton of stuff not exploring interacting with the NPCs in the world throughout the three days. (Like I don't have Epona, only have one bottle, etc.)

I'm trying to avoid just following a GameFAQs guide for this as it's pretty refreshing playing a Zelda game with no idea what's happening but I feel like I'm spinning my wheels in the mud looking for extra stuff which maybe I just don't have access to yet?

Theres stuff you can do now, but for a lot of it you need more items. You should be fine beating the next dungeon and everything that involves and then doing side stuff.

Deceptive Thinker
Oct 5, 2005

I'll rip out your optics!
After clearing each dungeon a bunch more side-stuff opens up (because you've "cleansed the area" so to speak) - a lot of the events you'll just stumble upon
What's best for you to do right now is explore - getting a few masks, all of the minigames in the town should be open to you now, you should just stumble upon a bunch of heart pieces scattered around from a lot of those events.
Once you get bored with wandering around aimlessly, go to the next dungeon, rinse, repeat

Talk to the Bombers on each new cycle. If they make the animation of running up to you without your transformation masks on, they have rumors to give you to find more sidequests.

Sade

No really, you can't
I don't feel too bad about using a walkthrough for Majora's Mask sidequests because I've only finished one temple and some of the side stuff has been fairly obtuse.

My questions is: is nintendo banning DS flash carts as well as gateway cards, or is it just gateway cards?

I actually did call them yesterday for an update. He did say it should happen anytime since its going on 4 days now. Still no system transfer as of today though which sucks. I'm ready to buy some digital stuff!
