Meanwhile, I popped onto tribble to see how badly the embassy consoles have been nerfed. Numbers here reflect idling in earth space with no powers active, your generic usual space build, four tac consoles (UR) and three science consoles (gold), and 125 weapon power.

Live, +beam consoles: 494.4 dps (console tooltip)/1025.5 dps (weapon tooltip)
Tribble, +beam consoles: 293.6/293.6
Tribble, +plasma consoles: 293.6/293.6

So yes, it looks like the plasma burn isn't being boosted by any sort of console buff. So I hit EPTW on tribble to see if that did anything, and no change to the damage either. And yes, the plasma burn from actual plasma weapons is affected by stuff normally and doesn't seem changed.

I will step in and say I was asked for an episode worse than UESP and I did find one. So if they really want to kill me, go ahead and try. I even went so far as to give the second mission a 5-star rating and 100 dil, "I look forward to a trilogy!!!"

I enjoyed those missions. Whether it was the right amount, I don't know, but it also hurt my inner-self.

Yeah modding NoPPS mostly consists of keeping an eye on the feed and popping in when it gets worse than zone chat. 99% of my mod actions consist of telling people to chill out. You get the occasional rear end in a top hat who won't chill out and I've just been queitly kicking them from the channel without fanfare. It's a public channel so it's basically just a time out and they've usually calmed down by the time they figure out why the chat got quiet.

They also shower you with praise when you "reluctantly, after much thought and reflection" cave in to their demands.

It's mainly a gold mining site for pubbies, but accounts are freely traded there on a fairly consistent basis, is that lifetime account still there for $300? Those sell pretty well.
As for me, I will be getting my 60 day timecard shortly at $15.

It's a great way to cash out when your done / want the challenge again.

As for your account, looks like if you ever decide getting a new car is better than STO, you will have that choice.

Could someone please flick me an invite to TheNextGooneration - eliza@ryanjethro

Just a warning though - PA has a data retention policy and a privacy policy that concerns me and is one of the reasons I don't put business through them currently.

Specifically :

- Read the privacy polict - http://www.playerauctions.com/help/policy/
"we retain all information indefinitely" - because of a "sophisticated build of a risk management system which collates, cross references, and keeps things safe". They don't want to change that because they handle flow of money and as such they may "seek licensure as an MSB".
The demands of what they want are heavy. Unless you are prepared to pay them with bitcoin or western union, they want : 1. a scanned copy or clear photo of a form they send you, 2. a scanned copy of a government-issued identification document with your signature on it, 3. a clear photo of you holding your government-issued identification document, and 4. a recent utility billing statement. (Current or last month’s billing statement)

In light of what hackers can get hold of plus indefinite retention, this is just too much for me.

I guess they are familiar with rule of acquisition #194.

Speaking of "gassed", have you run them through the Purity series yet?

Take a week (it's seven missions so that works). Make them play and report on one mission plus the corresponding after-mission patrol mission each day.

On Sunday, question them about the Romulan moral superiority and a writeup about Space Superhitler's rise to power.

Edit: The battered wife, she is me.

Today in Foundry Missions you really really should play: The Chimes at Midnight (KDF)

Playtime: 30-45 minutes
Rating: 5/5
Canary: Alive
Dil reward: 2,651
Strengths: Dialogue, especially notable: the KDF NPCs don't use "honor" as if they had word diarrhea and the Starfleet NPCs aren't inbred morons, it's better written than a lot of the STO episodes
Weaknesses: Could use a short recap scene in a ready room after we leave the prison, so that there's a lest one KDF map used

Short summary: After A Step between Stars but before Surface Tension we (the heroes the Emperor deserves) are to escort a Fed ambassador to a little tęte-a-tęte with our diplomats. Shenanigans ensue.

Long summary: Taking place before the hand-waved alliance between basically everyone that the STO story missions feature nowadays, we are to escort a Starfleet Ambassador to the Jenloan Dyson Sphere. Because all Starfleet Ambassadors are insane, we are picking him up in Drozana station, because that section of space has no other stations or something. After making your way to the bar (and the first General's Log entry, where one option is to start with a classic "I've never trusted Starfleet and I never will.") and listening in to random (rather well done) conversations we meet the space dwarf Ambassador who tells us that there's one Undine captain infiltrating Earth Spacedock and several more all over the place so needs to be careful who to talk to.
The captain who was replaced is located at one of those Hologram guard facilities (which he implies might have been hacked) and the USS Vigilant is on the way to talk him into an early grave. Soon as we've been told about all the gritty details Nausicaan mercenaries attack. After killing them and destroyig their transport inhibitor, it's off to save the Starfleet Captain.
On our way we get interrupted by the USS Vigilant and after some excellent back-and-forth we blow them to hell; then storm the facility and kill a whole bunch of holographic guards in a fun ground romp. Rescuing the fed captain is a bit more difficult, because the golden sparkles that tell us which of those tons of consoles we have to click are a bit too small to see (somehow the focus got hosed up I think). He's deliciously irritated to be rescued by Klingons but goes along as soon as we mention the magic "Undine" card.
There is no big space battle as we approach Earth Spacedock because in this mission Starfleet isn't run by incompetent morons and the Captain we rescued is capable of talking them down. There's also an option to let the Ambassador talk, but I don't know what would happen then.
Anyway, we storm the (old) Earth Spacedock, have a short discussion with stock fed characters (including an angry space dwarf) and take down the Undine infiltrator plus 2 more Undine who just happen to be in the room or something, while all the important people are at a New Years' Party. As usual the proud Klingon warriors win the day and the Undines end up as a smear on the wall. The rescued Captain thanks us and mentions that the Undine probably replaced him because he was involved in the coming and going of Earth Spacedock and promotion of lesser officers. Uh-oh.

The story ends with the omnious note that a transmission has been intercepted which mentions that only one of many Undine on Earth Spacedock has been discovered. Well, we know how this turns out of course. All in all, an excellent arc closer and if they ever elevated a foundry mission to story mission status, this should be it (after they fix the General's Log head, which by the way the author apologizes for it in-mission seems to be a foundry limitation).

Two wholesome boys to brighten your day

So I played STO semi regular for a couple of months last year, raised a fed and a klank to the old cap plus some rep stuff, then burned out on starting a rommie. About a year later and I've forgotten enough about MMOs to get that itch again, I logged in recently to make sure my account wasn't going to be scrubbed for being idle and saw there's a whole slew of new poo poo that's been added.

So, with the new level cap and ship tiers would you guys say there's enough to keep my interest for a couple of months? I don't want to play if I just end up running the same three reputation missions (per faction) every day.

EDIT:

Oh yeah, while I remember: Do the new ship tiers invalidate all the effort I put into getting a money ship with dil?
