angryhampster posted:When is Win10 retail coming out? Probably following the same schedule month as win7/win8, so around late October. However, the official word is "late 2015." some texas redneck posted:My only gripe is the new Metro/whatever UI. Installing Startisback fixes that easily. Yeah, that's exactly it. If Windows 8/8.1 came with startisback installed, it'd be perfect for touchscreen laptops. I set mine to go directly to desktop and hit the windows key on the keyboard to switch back and forth between Metro and desktop. A co-worker and I were talking about how botched 8 was and all they had to do is have 2 simple screens during installation, the first asking if it's going to be for a touch screen or non-touchscreen pc. The second screen off each would ask if the user would like to have metro or not and explain the difference between the two. For touchscreen metro works great, for non-touchscreen metro is goony as gently caress and not really recommended or something along those lines. Also for non-touschscreen pc's have additional helpers on the edge to substitute for swiped and such. keykey fucked around with this message at 16:15 on Mar 5, 2015 |

Check your car starter wiring folks! You do not want to walk outside and see your neighbors truck burning to the ground and then have to ring his doorbell and be the one to break the news to him. Never in my life have I seen someone go from being chipper and ready to seize the day to needing a drink at 0700 that quickly.

Do that, and tell it to install into the unpartitioned space, and let it create the partition for you. This is assuming you booted from your install media, rather than running it from within the old OS. I decided to install again and found it. Thanks!

Seattle is like beer loving heaven. I've probably put on like 5 lbs of pure beer gut since I've got here and I just can't stop. I like to pretend that I'm offsetting it by not eating as much. Also Toyota Pickup prices are a shitload more reasonable than phoenix. I sold my 93 when I moved there and have regretted it ever since.

I was looking at that auction wondering whether the cabinets full of assorted nuts and bolts would be a good idea. Though it would be cool to get the display chassis with no engine, drop in an ecoboost.

I finally figured out that my poor work life/environment was really negatively effecting my hobbies/personal life. I've been "moving out" of my current job for the past month and I've seen a huge improvement as I slowly detached. I decided yesterday to accept a new position at another firm and it's like a weight has been lifted off my shoulders. I'm going to miss my coworkers, but this new job is going to be amazing.
