Gyshall posted:Here is a man Temporary Silverblade Paladin? Seems cool. He needs a high power buddy to pair with though, and it's kind of awkward that the scariest things to pair him with will normally drop a turn or two after him. Like Ash-cloud Phoenix into this guy is scary, but you kind of want your three drops to be good on turn 3. The magical xmasland land in limited of course is t2 Frost walker into this guy on T3 e: the above is wrong in so many different ways because I am bad at reading cards. This isn't Silverblade Paladin, even if you have a Warrior to pair it with this format is full of things that can stop a small creature with Double Strike, like Siege Rhino and Goblin token. There's a reason why even UW Heroic doesn't run Fabled Hero anymore.

I need to read cards more carefully, I missed that he only gives double strike to warriors. Still super good, but not as broken as I thought.

might have missed this earlier but why is zurgo a bellstriker now?

SO will the confirmed force of will reprint have a big effect on standard? Or is it mainly going to be for legacy players?

okay but to zurgo's defense ironclaw orcs is more than one orc and he is a single orc.

Zurgo lost 5 points of power and became a format staple instead of a goofy fringe playable. Ottermode wins again.

ahhh, new Zurgo. Anyone else remember Lazy Goblin from the first GDS? How far we've come. Edit: Better link, because it has R&D responses instead of the responses of people in the GDS: http://magic.wizards.com/en/articles/archive/responses-vapor-ops-2003-04-25

A bunch of the non-r&d respondants, as well as Randy, brought up that Insects should never be blue. Which is still true, but R&D let it slide one time, and that single Blue Insect is one of the pillars of eternal formats.

I would actually be okay with Force of Will in Standard if not for the effect it would have on Modern (people already whine when stuff gets banned). There isn't anything overly degenerate to counter with it and I wouldn't be surprised if standard control decks would rather just pay mana to counter stuff rather than take card disadvantage since the only thing you're really pitching are other counterspells.
