But I'm going against the grain of the vocal majority here, and I'm biased: my sister is a chiro, and a good one. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chiropractic_controversy_and_criticism "Some people believe chiropractic has little more than a placebo effect, but there have been many satisfied patients and many randomized trials of spinal manipulation have verified its effectiveness for the treatment of low back pain"

Well I can't see my PCP until next month so I will have finished all 8 appointments by then so we will see if it works regardless. Me and my roommies left to do errands and came home to an empty washing machine that I had started and 2 inches of water in the basement. Luckily our landlord lives across the street so he is downstairs dealing with the mess now.

Honestly I would probably just eat hops if I could. The bitterness is why I love it, but IPAs, when done right, also have delicious fruit and nut flavors. To me, at least. Almost like finding the flavors in a bottle of scotch, versus just thinking it tastes like gasoline.

For what it's worth medical chat: I've been doing (mostly) paleo for 3 months. Minimal carbs and sugar. No change in lifestyle or exercise. I'm down 10 lbs, 2 inches at waist, 1.5 at chest, .75 at thighs (6ft2, 195 now) Blood work is back, and cholesterol is 153/40, Triglycerides are 125, LDL is 90. Glucose is 80. All are 'in range' for the first time in about 10 years. Take that for what it's worth.

Limited edition run by Elysian for a radio show here in seattle. They make a Mens Room Original Red year round that is really good as well. Part of the proceeds also go to the Fisher House, which is a good organization to support while drinking good beer.

I cut out grains and sugar and lost about 10 pounds a month with zero exercise, down to 190 from 235 and eating better food than I ever have. It's cooking intensive and expensive but it certainly doesn't feel like "a diet" with all the negative connotations implied by that word. I don't really care what demagogues on the internet have to say about whatever the gently caress "paleo" is, I call it eating healthy. And the best part is, I can still travel and eat whatever the gently caress I want, it's about cutting out everyday fattening staples.
