was uploaded 2 years ago on imgur by MarcMurray92. Pretty sure it originally had the little stick arms added by someone here several years previous to that though.

Would one of you kindly goons help me out with an avatar sized version of this? I tried myself, but I can't get it below 100kB without it looking like garbage.

Anyone else been having problems viewing this thread in Firefox recently? My memory usage almost doubles when I open the thread, and gifs will start too load, then they'll just stop. So I get mixture of fully-loaded gifs, still images, and blank spaces. Fucks up my other tabs too.

Yeah, not just you, and not just this thread. Basically any thread with a ton of images in it, like a bunch of threads in Let's Play, will cause Firefox to poo poo itself.

So I get mixture of fully-loaded gifs, still images, and blank spaces. Fucks up my other tabs too. Not sure. I switched back to Chrome because I decided to embrace the Google; I keep Firefox around for differential diagnoses and HTML5/Unity games - Chrome can do HTML5 but it can't yet do persistent HTML5 too well and it's finally going through with the whole "death to NPAPI" thing (yes yes chromeflags but now that it's capital-H Happening I'd rather learn to deal with multiple browsers now). ... Actually HTML5 persistence in general is kind of a mess at the moment, since it depends on exports/third-party accounts/some other thing/or maybe your data's just screwed, if you don't want to lose stuff when Chrome blows a sync/arbitrarily ignores some kind of persistent data or Firefox changes their profile API or something). I think your specific problem (well, a Firefox problem in general) is because the margin for the per-tab and per-process graphics buffers are absurdly small by default; I remember fixing this at some point along those lines but it involved a lot of about :config and trial and error (and error and error) and I'm not sure my fix was absolute. If I manage to replicate some of it I'll leave a note in the Firefox Thread. dont be mean to me has a new favorite as of 11:48 on Apr 23, 2015 |

So I get mixture of fully-loaded gifs, still images, and blank spaces. Fucks up my other tabs too. I've been busting my balls trying to fix this for the past couple weeks. I've updated all my drivers and even moved to Firefox nightly builds - but nothing fixed it. I made three new profiles, one with all my old extensions and scripts and two with zero extensions to clog up the pipes. But Firefox still kept hogging memory and crashing. At this point, I honestly think it's Imgur's fault because I can view tonnes of images on other sites and not have this problem. I did a search of Reddit, because it's their lovely image host, and what seem to be the consensus is to use Google's DNS. And make sure to clear your browser's cache and also flush your DNS cache as well. It's still not 100%, but images are loading a billion times faster and I can use Firefox a lot longer now before Imgur crashes it. Megillah Gorilla has a new favorite as of 18:43 on Apr 23, 2015 |

I've never had Firefox actually crash, but this thread was causing it to gently caress off and just stop loading images tonight. This suggestion fixed it for me--after doing this, the thread loaded right up. (Didn't even bother using Google's DNS.)

Firefox is a 32-bit application and I hit the 2-gigabyte limit daily. It will just stop rendering poo poo or just freeze, pegging 1 core of the processor. It either being 64-bit or having multiple processes would help, but it has neither yet, so.

There's a beta maintained by Mozilla itself (not like Waterfox or Firefox64 BS), but it's not listed on the beta download page because Mozilla lol. It may help as part of a more extensive workaround, but not on its own.
