Might be respiratory problems. My family rescued a kitten off the highway once who had some sort of infection, and even after getting a clean bill of health from the vet she was a little drooly when sleeping or purring. I'm glad that goblin found a place to get taken care of.

My Service Dog, Mia, turns 15 today. She has no interest in retiring, thankyouverymuch.

About an hour ago, I was outside with Mercedes, Mia's backup. Mia started raising the roof. Our niece came running to see what was wrong (she's been staying here while her place gets fixed). The problem? I was on the wrong side of the door. Mia didn't quiet down until I was in and safe. We'll probably go to her favorite restaurant for her party Saturday.

I think most old people love that kind of thing. My grandmother used to love showing us pictures of her as a young woman and bragging that she was nicknamed "the Body" by the local men. Also if you watch a documentary about old people like Grey Gardens you can see old people revelling in their youth (the older Beale in that movie is constantly pulling out old recordings of her singing to warble along to).

Wombats are pretty awesome animals. :allears:

If you want a bit of non-cute info about Wombats; You really, really want Wombats to stay calm and docile. The normal procedure for dealing with an angry Wombat consists of "JESUS gently caress, GET THE gently caress OFF GROUND-LEVEL RIGHT BLOODY NOW!" They will ram you down and do some nasty work with those claws and teeth. :australia:

I'd say the little guy's loving it, considering the normal small-lizard predatory defense is to run like mad and hope the worst thing you lose is your tail.

Oh, yeah, wombats are little indestructible tanks of solid muscle. They can kill a dingo by diving into a hole, then when a dingo pokes their head in after they crush the dingo's skull with their butt.

One of these birds lives at a park near my house. He spends most of the day napping in a tree being a big pile of fluff, occasionally staring at me with a drowsy red eye.

Aww :3:
We get a bunch of those in the wetlands where I live, so I'll have to keep an eye out for their nests when I'm out photographing/filming this spring and summer.

The only budgie I've ever spent time around is the one my sister bought from Woolworth's when we were young. It probably had an awful upbringing in the dime store, and had all sorts of behavioral quirks as a result. It would become infuriated if anyone tried to brush their teeth near it, and it would attack people who were eating any kind of greenery that it wanted. I'm imagining those huge swarms of budgies skeletonizing anyone in the outback who picks up a toothbrush or a salad.
