My family rescued a kitten off the highway once who had some sort of infection, and even after getting a clean bill of health from the vet she was a little drooly when sleeping or purring. I'm glad that goblin found a place to get taken care of.

My Service Dog, Mia, turns 15 today. She has no interest in retiring, thankyouverymuch. About an hour ago, I was outside with Mercedes, Mia's backup. Mia started raising the roof. Our niece came running to see what was wrong (she's been staying here while her place gets fixed). The problem? I was on the wrong side of the door. Mia didn't quiet down until I was in and safe. We'll probably go to her favorite restaurant for her party Saturday.

I can never tell whether animals are enjoying something or it's some defense mechanism. Like does this lizard get on its back and lightly slap the predators away.

My grandmother used to love showing us pictures of her as a young woman and bragging that she was nicknamed "the Body" by the local men. Also if you watch a documentary about old people like Grey Gardens you can see old people revelling in their youth (the older Beale in that movie is constantly pulling out old recordings of her singing to warble along to).

Hakkesshu posted:Patrick was posted a few pages ago, but I can't stop thinking about him. Wombats are pretty awesome animals. If you want a bit of non-cute info about Wombats; You really, really want Wombats to stay calm and docile. The normal procedure for dealing with an angry Wombat consists of "JESUS gently caress, GET THE gently caress OFF GROUND-LEVEL RIGHT BLOODY NOW!" They will ram you down and do some nasty work with those claws and teeth. Double Bill posted:I can never tell whether animals are enjoying something or it's some defense mechanism. Like does this lizard get on its back and lightly slap the predators away. I'd say the little guy's loving it, considering the normal small-lizard predatory defense is to run like mad and hope the worst thing you lose is your tail.

I actually find that oddly comforting for whatever reason. They're like little tanks. I'd like to think that if one gets hit by a car it wouldn't be the wombat who got hurt.

They can kill a dingo by diving into a hole, then when a dingo pokes their head in after they crush the dingo's skull with their butt. MikeJF has a new favorite as of 18:10 on Apr 22, 2015 |
